Say Goodbye to Rest Stops: Meet the Revolutionary Voice-Activated In-Vehicle Toilet!

Imagine cruising down the highway when nature calls, and instead of searching for a rest stop, you just say, “Open toilet.” That could soon be a reality, thanks to a wild new patent from Chinese EV maker Seres.

The company, known for high-end electric vehicles and smart tech, has filed a patent for an in-vehicle toilet that slides out from under the passenger seat. According to reports, this hidden commode is designed for long trips, camping, or just hanging out in the car.

But it gets even cooler. The toilet reportedly pops up with the push of a button or through voice-activated commands. When you’re done, a fan and exhaust pipe work to push odors outside, while a rotating heating element dries waste and evaporates urine.

Waste collects in a tank that needs manual emptying, so it’s not totally hands-off. Still, the idea of a built-in potty that tucks away when not in use is turning heads in the automotive world.

Seres hasn’t announced when or if these toilet-equipped cars will actually hit the market. But with the EV industry racing to add futuristic features, this one certainly stands out.

It’s not the first time someone tried this. A 1954 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith once featured a gold-plated toilet under the seat cushion, complete with a champagne cooler. Talk about luxury.

So, would you trade a rest stop for a voice-activated toilet in your car?
