To anyone outside the Kansas City Chiefs inner sanctum, the name Ava Hunt might not have meant anything this time last week – but as of Sunday night, that moniker had been rocketed into headlines the world over thanks to her new-found friendship with none other than pop sensation Taylor Swift.
The teenage daughter of Chiefs owner Clark Hunt found herself thrust into the limelight this weekend when she spent time with the singer – who made a trip to Kansas to watch her boyfriend Travis Kelce play against the Buffalo Bills – and now all eyes are on the 17-year-old.
As it turns out, while Ava – whose prominent family is worth an estimated $20.5 billion, according to Forbes – might not have the celebrity status that Taylor enjoys, she has quite the opulent lifestyle that would give many A-listers a run for their money.
The beauty queen and aspiring NFL cheerleader has become a social media sensation from flaunting her lavish lifestyle online – which includes jetting off on glamorous vacations, scoring invites to elite sporting events, and most recently, a chance to hang out with Taylor.
Being related to a prominent sports figure certainly comes with its perks, and high school senior Ava is not shy about showing them off.
She recently showcased the latest of the many pluses to her dad owning the Kansas City team – getting to mingle with pop sensation Taylor, 33, who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis.
Ava posted a picture that showed her and the Cruel Summer songstress posing together at the Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
The blonde beauties, both decked out in Chiefs gear, pressed their heads together as they smiled up at the camera.
Taylor draped her arm lovingly over Ava’s shoulder and clutched onto an enormous purple gift in her other hand, which contained a note that said, ‘To: Taylor. From: The Hunt Family.’
The sweet snap quickly went viral and only launched Ava even further into social media stardom. But it left some people wondering who she was and how she’s achieved so much at such a young age.
The teen has racked up more than 26,000 followers on her Instagram account, where she often shares a glimpse into what it’s really like to be an NFL heiress.
Her feeds consists of posts that show her vacationing at top spots around the world, staying in five-star resorts, flying in private jets, and eating in some of the most sought-after restaurants.
In the last year alone, she’s visited Iceland, Cape Cod, Aspen, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Jerusalem, and Cabo San Lucas in Mexico.
Ava’s dad, Clark, 58, is the owner, chairman, and CEO of the Kansas City Chiefs, while her grandfather, Lamar Hunt, was the founder of the American Football League (AFL) and Major League Soccer (MLS).
Her mom, Tavia Hunt, 52, is a former pageant queen who was crowned as Miss Kansas USA in 1993.
Her older sister, Gracie Hunt, 24, is also a pageant queen and a model, who, like Ava, has gained a vast legion of followers for showcasing her glamorous endeavors on Instagram.
While Ava has followed in her mother and big sister’s footsteps – she competed in the Texas Outstanding Teen pageant back in 2021 – it seems her main passion is cheerleading.
Back in 2020, she came in first place at the cheerleading State Championships. And this year, she was picked as her school’s varsity cheer captain.
She hopes to represent the Chiefs when she’s older. Back in 2021, she shared a snap of herself jumping in the air at the Chiefs cheerleader auditions, which she captioned, ‘I didn’t actually audition for Chiefs cheer… But maybe one day!’
It’s clear that she earned a fierce love of athletics from her dad, and she’s often spotted cheering the Chiefs on from prime seats and hanging out on the field and in the locker rooms before hand.
‘Happy Father’s Day to one of the best. Thanks for indulging the side of me that likes to get dirty and shoot things (archery, skeet, and hitting golf balls) among other fun activities,’ she gushed of her dad in 2021. ‘You lead by example with faith, patience, and love.’
Ava is set to graduate from high school in May 2024, and recently announced that she had committed to Southern Methodist University in Texas.
Her mom previously described the teen as ‘kind, fun, energetic, athletic, smart, tender-hearted, and sometimes silly’ in a tribute to her earlier this year.
Based on her social media posts, it seems she’s also a big fan of horseback riding and skiing.
She’s also a big Swiftie, and attended two nights of Taylor’s Eras Tour back in July, when the singer performed at Arrowhead Stadium.
