The twists and turns continue in Coronation Street next week when one couple hear news of an unexpected murder charge.
Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) recently reconnected with his cousin, Richie (Nathan Sussex), but he has absolutely no idea what is around the corner. When Richie answers the door to Tim next week, he is covered in blood, and Tim has to call the police.
Elsewhere, Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) gets wind of Kit Green’s (Jacob Roberts) plan to get her off the hook for Theo’s murder by pushing Gary Windass (Mikey North) to confess – but how will she react?
And fears continue to mount for Cassie Plummer following her sudden and mysterious exit, and Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) grows even more suspicious of Ross Wilkes (Ian Burfield).

The atmosphere is tense when Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) pays Sarah a visit in prison and finds she has been attacked.
Though Sarah tries to shrug it off, Bethany insists that she should report her attacker.
Sarah refuses to give in, and instead changes the topic of conversation to her and Kit.
When Bethany reveals Kit’s plan to make Gary hand himself in, Sarah is horrified.
Tuesday, August 11
Tim and Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) reel in the wake of Richie’s wife’s death, agonising over how daughter Lucy must be coping.
They are interrupted by the arrival of DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers), who announces that Richie has been charged with his wife’s murder.
Tim is clearly shellshocked.
Thursday, August 13
When Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) goes rooting through Ross’ wallet for a tenner, she instead pulls out the photo Fiz had gave Cassie the day she left.
Fiz recognises it instantly, forcing Ross to give an explanation of how it came to be in his possession.
He tells the family that Cassie threw it at him as she got out of the car at the station, claiming to have had her fill of the family.
Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) shrugs it off, insisting that the feeling is mutual, but it is clear that Fiz isn’t convinced.
Is Ross telling the truth, or is Fiz right not to trust him?
