Zinedine Zidane is still one of the top candidates for the captain position at Real Madrid when Carlo Ancelotti leaves, if the French legend’s conditions are met.
According to El Nacional, former player and veteran strategist Zidane has set four big conditions if he returns to his old team. And the top condition is the recruitment of Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.
Zidane is well aware of the urgent need for an excellent goalscorer to fill the void left by Karim Benzema . He believes that Mbappe is the perfect candidate for this role. The military leader who brought many trophies to Real knows that the amount of money it will cost to buy Mbappe is extremely large, but he believes that this is a worthwhile investment for the Royal Spanish team.
Second, Zidane finds it necessary to strengthen the left-back position. Although he spoke highly of Ferland Mendy, he wanted a star on the left wing, and Alphonso Davies became the ideal candidate to fill this role. Davies’ current commitment to Bayern Munich until 2025 creates an opportunity for Real Madrid to negotiate a reasonable transfer fee.

Regarding the third and fourth conditions, Zidane affirmed the retention of his two most valued students, veterans Toni Kroos and Luka Modric. Under his guidance, both players became symbols of the great Spanish team. These two stars contributed greatly to helping the team win every possible title at the club level.
Although the futures of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric at the Santiago Bernabeu have become the subject of much speculation due to the burden of their age, Zidane still asked President Florentino Perez to ensure the continued stay of the two veterans. This serves as one of the prerequisites for his return.
Real still finds a way to keep Ancelotti
According to 90Min, Real Madrid is ready to offer a contract extension to coach Ancelotti at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. This rush comes amid revelations about Ancelotti’s agreement to take on the role of coach of the Brazilian national team after the end of this season.

Meanwhile, coach Ancelotti’s contract with Madrid is gradually ending, with less than a year left. President Perez understands that keeping the Italian teacher here will save many other large expenses, in case of re-inviting the old Zidane.
On the other hand, Real Madrid’s team of players has expressed a special love for the Italian tactician. These internal discussions have laid the foundation for negotiations on a new contract, with many attractive and exciting incentives as 2024 approaches, making it difficult for him to refuse.
Even though the deal with Brazil is almost complete, Real Madrid’s Board of Directors has not yet ruled out the possibility of letting Ancelotti leave so easily. Although the club is looking at potential replacement candidates for Ancelotti if he leaves, they still prioritize keeping him here.
