GH Spoilers: Laura’s Moral Dilemma, Lies To Protect Charlotte Amid Shooting Scandal?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlet Fernandez) confessed to Laura Collins (Genie Francis). While Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) told Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) the truth, this storyline could just get murkier or more complicated.

Fans would expect Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) to go to extremes to protect Charlotte, this storyline could have an unexpected twist. Will the moral mayor end up being the one to lie in order to protect Charlotte?

General Hospital spoilers – Charlotte Cassadine’s Stalking

GH spoilers reveal that Charlotte took Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) post-mortem letter very seriously. Charlotte was already insecure about her father, Valentin. That would be normal for any young girl, especially if she were separated from her father.

However, Victor had a special way of twisting things and making it appear as if Anna really were someone dangerous. Victor made sure that Charlotte truly believed that Anna was endangering Valentin’s life.

GH Spoilers – Anna Devane’s Shooting

Even though Charlotte has been stalking and setting up Anna for months, she only found out just recently. Unfortunately, Anna didn’t find out until after she had already shot Charlotte.

Valentin told Anna the truth in a stairwell. Even though Valentin told Anna that he had Charlotte sit down with a psychiatrist, Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), the situation just got worse.

Anna was understandably furious. Anna told Valentin that if she had any idea that a child was targeting her, she never would have pulled out her weapon. Of course, Valentin didn’t know just how dangerous Charlotte was becoming.

Valentin also didn’t realize that Charlotte would slip away from the other trick-or-treaters and put on a whole different Halloween costume, use Anna’s stolen key and not say a word when Anna announced herself before pulling the trigger.

That took a whole lot of planning and preparation. Valentin thought he was taking control of the situation. However, he severely underestimated just how far Victor had gotten his hooks into Charlotte’s mind.

General Hospital Spoilers  – Port Charles Taking Sides

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Anna went to confront Charlotte in the hospital.

However, Laura wouldn’t let Anna speak to Charlotte, especially under those circumstances and with the emotion involved. Anna was pretty furious and might have looked like a threat to anyone who didn’t know her.

Anna then told Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) about Valentin’s claim regarding Charlotte.

Meanwhile, Valentin called Laura and Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) for an emergency meeting about Charlotte. It is quickly becoming clear that everyone in Port Charles will take sides.

GH Spoilers – Laura Collins’ Moral Dilemma

If this goes to trial, Valentin might deny telling Anna anything. Valentin could claim that Anna has been slowly unraveling ever since the Metro Court shooting. Valentin wouldn’t want to do this but could if it was the only way to save Charlotte.

Then, we have the moral compass of the show. Laura, who usually always does the right thing and is the good mayor of Port Charles.

While Laura wouldn’t normally bend rules, could she do so to protect Charlotte? What if Kevin disagrees with Laura’s decision? Could this lead to a courtroom scandal that has enemies aligning as iron-clad bonds disintegrate?
