Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is splashing out $27.8 million to purchase a six-bedroom Beverly Park mansion from comedian and Aliens actor Paul Reiser.

The Rock, 48, has acquired a 3.67 acre Los Angeles property first built for Alex Van Halen by architect Grant Kirkpatrick in 1993, according to Dirt.

Although Paul first put the house on the market for $30 million some months ago Dwayne has apparently been able to shave a couple million off that price tag.

Paul and The Rock reportedly closed their off-market deal last week on the property, which includes both a sprawling main house and a guest house.

Pictures show a sumptuous property designed in a Mediterranean style and able to be well-lit from the outside even after nightfall in case the new owners want to entertain.

Back when Alex Van Halen had the home constructed for himself he made certain it included a music studio, which is just one of the home’s many ultra-luxe amenities.

The home theater includes elegant wood paneling contrasted with midnight blue cloth on the walls, plus Art Deco light fixtures in a flourish of retro chic.

Dwayne’s acquisition comes just three months after he listed his Georgia horse farm for what Barrons reports is $7.5 million – a $2 million markdown from the price he bought it for a little over a year prior.

News of his purchase broke the same day he posted a smoldering Instagram picture of himself flashing his musclebound arms in sleeveless workout gear whilst at the gym.

Dwayne added in his own words: ‘Great training session before sunrise and a helluva week shooting #BlackAdam,’ adding: ‘Thank you guys for all your support and excitement for this film – we’re motivated to deliver for you,’ and wrapping up by urging his followers: ‘Finish your week strong.’

The sizzling sensation is playing the title character in Black Adam, a DC Comics superhero movie that is slated for release on July 29 of next year.
