They both have free agents this summer, but they both want to stay with Carlo Ancelotti’s team. Marca says that president Florentina Perez is personally making sure that the two agree to the extensions.
There is a claim that the club president has stepped in and is now finalizing the deals to keep the two players. Each player met with Perez more than once. Modric agreed to a one-year contract, and Kroos was offered a new deal.
Even though they haven’t played much this season, Modric and Kroos give Real Madrid a level of knowledge and leadership that can’t be replaced. Los Blancos will continue to fight at the highest level thanks to their advice and desire to win.
