Which Will Carly Choose: Bobbie’s, Or The Metro Court?

General Hospital spoilers reveal Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has saved Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) from herself all over again. Walking back into her life from his presumed grave wasn’t enough to sweep Carly off her feet and change her life, he’s now given her back the business she loved and helped grow into a great success — back when Jasper ‘Jax’ Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) gave it to her first.

It seems that Carly was down for that gift the first time around, but she wasn’t so keen on letting anyone else step in and do the same for her all over again.

Feeling that she lost it on her own accord, that is how she was determined to get it back. Never acknowledging that was unlikely to happen, she didn’t back when Jason was ready to hand it all back over to her, but not everyone is keen with how this storyline is going down.

General Hospital Spoilers — It Still Hasn’t Sunk In

Carly was so overwhelmed with emotion over Jason’s selfless gesture that she didn’t even take a moment to look around Bobbie’s and think about what she would be leaving behind by going back to the Metro Court Hotel. Let’s be honest.

Part of the reason it was suffering under Nina Reeves Corinthos’ (Cynthia Watros) co-management was because Nina’s time was divided between being a hotelier and Editor-in-Chief of Crimson Magazine.

Pulling off running two full-time operations was no small feat, and Nina was relieved to let it go from her to-do list when Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) threw Jason’s generous offer on the table. Besides, Nina was assuming this would score her points with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

The joke’s on her. Nonetheless, Carly is going to land squarely in the same position Nina just was, and it won’t dawn on her right away what this transition means for the diner that gave her roots.

GH Spoilers – Hint the Fans Don’t Like This One Bit

Ever since Jason delivered the good news to Carly with tears in his eyes reflected back by her own, one might think the fans were weeping. Hey, maybe we were.

But we can relish the relationship between these two would-be lovebirds without shoving to the side how little sense it makes that Carly accepted this gift from Jason. It’s not like he’s the first to make the offer.

While Sonny was clearly off limits at the time, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) still said he was willing to buy back Carly’s half of the Metro Court Hotel after she lost it, and she would hear nothing of letting her baby boy help.

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) — her beau at the time — would’ve done the same, but she refused to let them bail her out of a mess she made all on her own.

Once again, Jason is different. With little protest, Carly accepted his goodwill with gratitude. The fans insist it just doesn’t make practical sense, but doesn’t it?

General Hospital Spoilers — Moving On

What hasn’t been made a topic of conversation just yet is what happens from here on out. Carly won’t be able to be at Bobbie’s all day slinging grilled cheese and cheering up her customers while she’s making sure the bar is stocked and caviar is plentiful at the Metro Court.

Once this reality hits, she’ll have to decide which place is more important to spend her time.

While she was thrilled to leave Bobbie’s and race over to the Metro Court and share the good news of their reunion with Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero), she may not depart from her mom’s old haunt as easily next time when it feels like she won’t be coming back regularly to spend her time there.

But the prince also said how hugely ‘proud’ he was of Catherine and the King for handling their health battles with such dignity and bravery.

David Lammy has refused to back down on branding US President-elect Donald Trump a ‘neo-Nazi sympathiser’ in the past, as he insists it’s ‘old news’. The Foreign Secretary has come under intense scrutiny for comments he made in 2018 when he described Trump as a ‘woman-hating, neo-Nazi sympathising sociopath’. Among the other barbs directed at Trump by Mr Lammy on social media include the quip: ‘If Trump did GCSEs he wouldn’t make it to sixth form.’
