AKRON, Ohio – The LeBron James Family Foundation will celebrate the one-year anniversary of its House Three Thirty venue on March 30 with a community event.
The event, 330 Day, is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. The celebration offers family friendly activities, food and beverages and a special musical performance by R&B singer Montell Jordan. Jordan is best known for his 1995 hit single “This Is How We Do It.“
Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase a copy of LeBron James’ children’s book, “I Am More Than” before it goes on sale to the general public on April 2. A limited number of copies are available at the House Three Thirty Retail Shop beginning at 6 a.m.
“I Am More Than” is a follow-up to James’ bestselling picture book, “I Promise.” The new picture book encourages readers to remember that they can reach their goals when they believe in themselves, according to the book’s official trailer. “I Am More Than” is illustrated by Niña Mata.
House Three Thirty opened last March in the former Tangier event center at 532 W. Market St. in downtown Akron. The 60,000 square-foot building has been renovated and reimagined as a community space that provides family financial health programming, job training throughout the venue’s varied dining, retail and entertainment spaces, and a community gathering space for indoor and outdoor events, monthly meals and family programming.
