Will she throw more barbs at Gerard Piqué?
Shakira and Cardi B are set to drop a music video for their collaboration, “Puntería,” and fans are already buzzing with excitement. The Colombian superstar teased a sneak peek of the upcoming video on her official WhatsApp channel, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come.
In the behind-the-scenes footage, Shakira and Cardi B are seen channeling powerful goddesses, seated on a throne reminiscent of Ancient Greece. Surrounded by a group of women, the duo exudes strength and femininity, setting the stage for an epic visual spectacle.
The collaboration between the singers has been highly anticipated, with fans eagerly awaiting the release of “Puntería.” Speculation is rife about the lyrical content of the song, with rumors suggesting it may contain references aimed at Shakira’s former husband, Gerard Piqué.
The song is expected to break the charts
Cardi B, who has openly expressed her admiration for Shakira, couldn’t contain her excitement about the collaboration. In a live broadcast on her Instagram account, the rapper expressed her honor and nerves at working with the Colombian superstar.
“I’m really so honored to be able to collaborate with Shakira. I’m so nervous I can’t even breathe,” said the rapper during the Q&A session.
While the music video promises to be a visual extravaganza, the song itself is expected to be a hit. Shakira’s upcoming album, “Las mujeres ya no lloran” (‘Women Don’t Cry Anymore’), is set to be released on March 22. The album details her breakup journey and her path to recovery from heartbreak after separating from Gerard Piqué.
Shakira still has a lot to say about Piqué
Almost two years after she divorced Piqué, the Colombian singer spoke to clarify the matter as part of the release of ‘Las mujeres ya no lloran’. In an interview with the British media, The Times, the Barranquilla-born singer explained what happened between her and the former Barcelona and Spain national team player:
“I put my career on hold for Gerard Piqué. There were many sacrifices for love. For a long time I stopped everything to be by his side so that he could play soccer… For a long time I put my career on pause to be at his side,” she said.
As fans eagerly await the release of “Puntería” and its accompanying music video, it’s clear that Shakira and Cardi B are ready to deliver a collaboration that will be remembered for years to come.
