Chad Stahelski wants big names like Jackie Chan and Sylvester Stallone in a possible John Wick 5 with Keanu Reeves.
SUMMARY
Action films can be called the backbone of the film industry, especially after the Golden Era of action stars in the late ’80s and ’90s. In modern times though, that genre of films was dominated by Keanu Reeves in the iconic John Wick franchise. This film series was such a smashing hit that it completely changed the meaning of what an action film is supposed to look like.

And with the release of the epic conclusion of the assassin’s revenge rampage in John Wick: Chapter 4, we saw the franchise come to an end. But if there is to be a sequel or a film that brings back The Boogeyman to the big screen, then director Chad Stahelski has some stars that he would love to either see alongside Reeves, or against him.

In a past interview with ScreenRant, series director Chad Stahelski talked about the future of the franchise and whether they can see Keanu Reeves reprising his role as the most lethal assassin in the world. He pointed out that he’s got no confirmation for a fifth installment yet, but there are stars in his mind that he would love to see if there was to be one in the future. He said:
“So many people. So many! Keanu and I have a whole board of people we’d love to work with.If you told me Cillian Murphy was going to be in a John Wick movie, I’d be like, “Oh my God!”If you told me Jackie Chan or Jet Li, or Jason Statham? If you said Stallone was going to make a cameo!”
While the aforementioned stars may or may not be a part of a theorized fifth film, we can definitely see them leaving a lasting impression on the series if it becomes a reality. Let’s see just how they can elevate the greatness of the franchise

1: Jackie Chan

If it’s not apparent how Jackie Chan could affect the franchise for good, then you haven’t really paid attention to the star’s career so far. Hailed as one of the greatest martial artists in the world, Chan can easily dominate the action sequences that the franchise is known for with his eyes closed, giving Wick a run for his money.
2: Jet Li
Jet Li
Another contender that could rival the martial prowess of Wick as well as Jackie Chan in the franchise, Jet Li’s illustrious career filled to the brim with Hong Kong martial arts films is proof enough how he can single-handedly take on almost anyone in hand-to-hand combat from the film series. Thus, he would make a wonderful addition to the roster.
3: Cillian Murphy

While he may not possess the martial arts and fighting experience as the stars mentioned above, what Cillian Murphy does possess is charisma, and a whole lot of it too. Even if he can’t fight Wick or with him in a full-on confrontation, the star has a vast amount of presence of leadership that will make him perfect for the role of a mob boss. He has already showcased this quality with his role as Thomas Shelby in the superhit Peaky Blinders TV series.
