Saint Shepherd Ju Peter Arrives On Egghead

Saint Shepherd Ju Peter was summoned to Egghead Island by Saint Saturn. This was done in One Piece chapter 1109, where it became evident to the Five Elders that Vegapunk’s message was practically unstoppable the way things were. Vegapunk was going to reveal the truth of the world to each and everyone on the planet, and to stop that from happening, the Five Elders decided to take action. Saturn, on his own, was certainly not strong enough to stop this catastrophe from happening. As a result, he relied on the remaining Elders, who, at the time, were in the Holy Land of Marijoa. Using a weird demonic power of the summoning circle, Saturn created four giant portals on Egghead, and, as a result, summoned all the Five Elders on the island. As soon as they emerged, massive streaks of Haki started appearing on the island, signifying that each member of the Five Elders possessed tremendous Haki.

Just like with Saturn, every single member of the Gorosei seemed to have a number assigned to them. Curiously enough, in the case of Saint Shepherd Ju Peter, this number is 1. He’s the number one among the Five Elders, as was evident from his summoning circle. As far as his beast is concerned, Saint Shepherd Ju Peter is a Sandworm, which is a mythological creature that fans have seen quite a lot in fantasy settings.

What Is The Sand Wyrm Beast?

The sandworm is an incredibly powerful beast, depending on which media the fans speak of. In most media, a Sandworm is said to be a giant earthworm like creature, however, slightly different, in the sense that it is often depicted with giant teeth and the ability to swallow individuals whole. It is also said to be incredibly fast, and it can chase down any foe, especially in the desert, which it treats as its hunting ground. The sandworm often goes underground in the desert and attacks the enemies from underneath. It usually is said to be incredibly agile, and, most importantly, the sandworm has impeccable senses. It is able to deduce even the slightest of motion in its surroundings and react to it, which allows it to attack enemies without even seeing, given that they usually have no eyes. The sandworm is, thus, an incredibly powerful beast that fans have often seen in media.

In One Piece, however, the sandworm appears to be somewhat different. To begin with, the Sandworm in One Piece certainly has an eye. This end itself suggests that on top of the impeccable sensing abilities of a sandworm, Saint Ju Peter also has the ability to use normal sight. At the same time, Saint Ju Peter also does not have sharp teeth. Instead, it appears to have a normal human-looking mouth, using which it swallows its enemies. Saint Shepherd also appears to be awakened, which means that this beast is incredibly strong when compared to the regular ones, pushing it another level higher.

Saint Shepherd Ju Peter’s Sand Wyrm Yokai Powers

When one thinks of Saint Shepherd Ju Peter’s Yokai powers, there are a lot of interesting aspects to consider. First and foremost, fans know that this sandworm Yokai has the ability to dig. In One Piece chapter 1110, it was seen going underground in front of Luffy, and then attacking the Yonko from below.

While Luffy was distracted, trying to dodge Saturn’s attacks, Saint Shepherd Ju Peter used the powers of his earthworm ability to attack him from underneath and swallow him whole. This is quite an incredible feat, especially given that Luffy is a Yonko and commands Observation Haki of the highest order. This also gives the fans an idea of how fast the Sandworm truly is. In the blink of an eye, it was able to dig underground and attack Luffy from below, and this speed is surely ferocious. Furthermore, another incredible thing that fans need to keep in mind about the sandworm is that it likely digests those it swallows with some sort of acid, otherwise, swallowing Luffy would simply be pointless.

Another ability that the sandworm seems to possess is the power of regeneration. Towards the end of the chapter, Dorry and Brogy combined their forces to slice the sandworm apart. Dorry chopped its head off, while Brogy chopped a bit underneath, splitting the worm into three parts. Of course, fans will soon find out that this attempt was futile, and that even though they rescued Luffy, the worm itself is still alive. The sandworm most definitely has the powers of regeneration, just like Saturn. In fact, this regeneration power will likely be shared by all the Five Elders.

How Strong is Saint Shepherd Ju Peter?

When speaking of the overall ability of Saint Shepherd Ju Peter, it would make sense to put him in the same tier as the likes of the Yonko. Undoubtedly, he is stronger than an Admiral, as has been already demonstrated by Oda over the course of the last few chapters. Saint Sheppard Ju Peter has a yokai-based power, which appears to be among the rarest of the rarest and the One Piece world. He has the powers of telepathy, and at the same time, he also has the ability to heal indefinitely, just like Saint Saturn. On top of that, he most definitely has unique abilities that the fans have not seen yet. For instance, Saint Saturn has the ability to do invisible damage to his enemies. Similarly, V.l Nusjuro has the ability to freeze people. Saint Shepherd Ju Peter will most definitely have a unique ability as well and fans will find that out soon in the egghead Island arc.

Fans should also consider the fact that Saint Shepherd Ju Peter has the power of an awakened transformation. This makes him one of the rarest individuals in the One Piece world. If that wasn’t enough, then, what fans know for sure is that he also has an overpowered Haki. This was confirmed in One Piece chapter 1110, when Zoro and Lucci both commented on the fact that there was monstrously powerful Haki all over the island. Of course, the Haki belonged to the Five Elders, and Saint Shepherd Ju Peter is one of them.
