One Piece: Oda Finally Reveals The Full Power Of The Five Elders

The full power of the Gorosei is revealed in One Piece.

The Five Elders, also known as the Gorosei, are some of the most powerful individuals to exist in the One Piece world. They are the highest political authority in the One Piece world, given that their position is the top most among the Celestial Dragons. They are also the personal guards of Imu, the sovereign of the world. The Five Elders are some of the most exciting characters currently playing an active role in the Final Saga of One Piece, and Oda has given them a very established position, especially towards the end of the Egghead Island arc.

Currently, all members of the Five Elders have been summoned to one place, and all of them are currently hell-bent on destroying the Straw Hat Pirates, as well as reducing the entirety of Egghead to ashes. Finally, in One Piece chapter 1110, Oda revealed the true power of the Gorosei to the fans, and this is something that the readers have been waiting to see for years.

The Yokai Forms Of The Gorosei

The Gorosei were first teased to be extremely powerful during Sabo’s Reverie flashback. When Sabo explained to Dragon and Ivankov what exactly happened during the Reverie, fans saw him eavesdropping on the conversation between King Cobra and the Five Elders. As soon as Cobra was attacked, Sabo decided to jump in and went all out with the powers of his Devil Fruit. His aim was to kill all Five Elders in one go, however, he clearly failed at this task. Immediately as the Five Elders were hit by his flames, they transformed into their demonic forms.

At that time, Oda kept their forms a secret since he wanted to save them for later. Little did fans know that less than a year later, they would get to see the powers of the Five Elders in full glory in the climax of the Egghead Island arc. This arc has been nothing short of spectacular for the fans, and the arrival of the Gorosei on this island makes it even more exciting.

Towards the end of One Piece chapter 1109, Saturn summoned all the remaining elders to Egghead, and now, all of them have lined up to fight against Luffy and to get rid of Vegapunk’s message. They have all taken to their Yokai transformations and it is safe to say that these transformations are absolutely spectacular.

Warcury, who is named after the first planet, has the power of Houki. Houki is known to be a wild boar Yokai in Chinese mythology. In One Piece chapter 1110, Warcury was shown transformed into his Houki state, and he had four tusks, as well as an absolutely enormous size. He ravaged Egghead Island with his size, and his strength is most definitely out of this world.

The second member of the Gorosei is V. Nusjuro, and he is named after the planet Venus. He is, by far, the most exciting of the Five Elders. This is because he’s based on Bakotsu, a skeletal stallion with tremendous powers up its sleeve. The Bakotsu is absolutely incredible, and in One Piece chapter 1110, Nusjuro utilized both its full Yokai form, as well as its hybrid form. He was seen wielding his giant sword, and cut through many Pacifistas in the blink of an eye. The Bakotsu was also shown having ice-related abilities, and this is quite a curious power for it to have. Clearly, Nusjuro is on an entirely different level when compared to the vast majority of the fighters and the One Piece world.

The third member of the Gorosei is none other than Marcus Mars. Mars has the power of the Itsumade, which is a giant bird-like Yokai from Japanese mythology. Mars was seen in his Yokai form in One Piece chapter 1110, and he attacked the Labophase in his bird form, attempting to break through it. Although he hasn’t been successful yet, his sheer size, strength, as well as ferocity were absolutely out of this world.

The fourth member of the Gorosei is none other than Ju Peter. Fans know Ju Peter to be incredibly powerful, and he was shown to have the transformation of a Sandworm Yokai. He utilized the power of the sandworm in One Piece chapter 1110, and dug underground.

He even managed to swallow Luffy, who was in his Gear 5, and that is quite an impressive feat. Even though Dorry and Brogy chopped his head off, he is sure to have the power of regeneration, which means an injury like this is absolutely nothing to him.

Finally, the last member of the Five Elders is Saint Saturn. He has the power of the Gyuki, or the Ushi Oni. Fans have already seen his abilities in the Egghead Island arc, and it is safe to say that he is among the strongest individuals in the entire story. With the power of invisible attacks, paralysis, dangerous poison, as well as incredible regeneration, Saturn is completely out of this world when it comes to power.

The Haki Of The Gorosei

On top of having these overpowered abilities, the Five Elders also seem to have amazing Haki. This was confirmed in One Piece chapter 1110. The very first time the Haki of the Five Elders was teased was when Saturn summoned himself on Egghead Island. His presence was felt all over the island, and even Luffy, who was, at the time, fighting against Kizaru, felt the strange Haki. In One Piece chapter 1110, the Haki of the Five Elders was permeated all over Egghead Island. Zoro, who was fighting against Lucci, felt this dangerous Haki and was distracted for a minute, which allowed Lucci to land a blow on him.

At the same time, Lucci himself was curious about this powerful Haki that emerged on Egghead Island. The source of this powerful Haki was, of course, the Gorosei, and this just goes to show what strength they hold up their sleeve. Furthermore, Nusjuro actively made use of Haki in One Piece chapter 1110. He was able to cut through a lot of the Mark 3 Pacifistas, despite their increased toughness. His Haki is surely among the best in the entire series, and that in itself makes him one of the strongest members of the Five Elders, if not the strongest.

Fans know for sure that the Five Elders possess both Armament and Observation Haki. Given that they are royalty and have the blood of the conquerors, being conquerors themselves as well as leaders of the founding families of the World Government, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them holding the power of Conqueror’s Haki as well. For now, fans do not know if they actually possess this ability, however, it is certainly a very big possibility.

How Strong Are The Five Elders?

Taking all things into consideration, it is safe to say that the Five Elders are among the strongest individuals in the entire series. In fact, it is now beyond any doubt that the Five Elders are stronger than the Admirals of the Marines. They are surely close to the level of the Yonko, and saying that they are on the same level wouldn’t be an exaggeration either. These individuals are incredibly dangerous, and they still haven’t gone all out, which just goes to show that they are truly in a league of their own. Hopefully, as the Final Saga continues to be explored, Oda will reveal more details about these powerful Five Elders.
