A new trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live episode 4 has arrived, teasing tension between Rick and Michonne as their escape plan continues.
A new trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live episode 4 reveals Rick and Michonne conflicting as their escape plan continues. Episode 3 ended with a surprising twist, as Michonne threw herself and Rick out of a CRM helicopter during a storm. The brash decision was the climax of building tension between the pair, as Rick tried to get her to escape without him, fearful of what would happen to their people back home.
Now, The Walking Dead (via WotNot) has released a new trailer for the upcoming The Ones Who Live episode 4.
The trailer reveals Rick and Michonne stumbling across a Walker-infested building, where they talk about if they’ll be able to escape together or not. It’s also teased that the CRM will find the two, leading to even larger conflict throughout the episode. This episode is also significant because it was written by series star and executive producer Danai Gurira.
Will Rick & Michonne Escape The CRM Together?Custom Image by Yeider Chacon
Episode 3 revealed that, if the core duo were to escape the CRM together, Jadis would inform Beale and other high-ranking members of the group about where Alexandria is. She also has plans in place where, in the event of her demise, the militarized organization would be able to find out where the Virginia communities are. Because of this, Rick and Michonne’s reunion is soured by the knowledge that their escape together would mean the death of everyone they love.
While Rick tries to get his wife back home on her own, she refuses, not wanting to lose him again after coming so far. However, given just how powerful the CRM is, it seems unlikely the couple will be able to get home together without having a foolproof plan to keep the group from finding them. In the worst-case scenario, Rick really might have to stay behind. However, another possibility is the pair finding a way to fake their deaths so no one catches up with them.
It’s possible that the CRM’s 500-year plan for humanity may have something to do with how the couple are able to escape. The leaders of the group are scheduled to meet at a Summit in the coming days, an event that seems like it will be a major event in the final episodes. Perhaps whatever happens there will be the key to their escape, giving The Ones Who Live a happy ending for both of them.
