The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Christian Wants to Bond with Bio Dad Adam – Fill-In Father Nick Struggles?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that a seed was planted long ago that might be ready to sprout and ultimately bloom into major drama. When Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was revealed to be alive and came back from Vegas, he made a bold move that infuriated Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow).

Although Christian Newman (last played by Alex Wilson) was too young to really understand, Adam told Christian that he was his real dad.

Christian knows Adam is his biological father and that Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is his half-brother, so the show’s sitting on a goldmine of material.

Nick was furious with Adam for delivering that shocker to Christian, who was fortunately too little to really be fazed by it.

The news of Christian’s paternity hasn’t affected his relationship with Nick so far, but that could change as time goes on.

Of course, Christian has been off in the attic that soap children get sent to when they’re not at boarding school.

Nick hasn’t mentioned him much lately, but that’s exactly why Christian needs to become a more important part of the story.

That’s especially true now that Adam and Nick have called a truce for the sake of working together.

Nick’s putting up with sharing the co-CEO spot and dealing with Adam’s relationship with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), but there’s a limit to how much he’s willing to accept.

There could be a breaking point for Nick, especially if involves his role as a fill-in father to Christian.

Y&R fans know Connor started bonding with Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) as his half-brother once the truth came out about Johnny’s biological mother, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan).

Johnny balked at the idea of things changing initially, but he eventually grew to enjoy spending time with Chelsea and connected with Connor in a new way.

Christian might get a similar storyline if he decides he wants to hang out with Adam and really get to know his biological father.

Nick has mostly kept Christian away from Adam over the years, but could that change soon?

Now that Christian is getting a little older, he’ll be more able to understand the paternity situation.

Perhaps Christian got updates on how well things worked out with Connor, Johnny and Chelsea in the end.

It could leave Christian ready to bond with his own biological parent and connect with Connor as his half-brother, too.

There are signs that Connor may be headed back to Genoa City soon, so that’s something to keep in mind.

Whatever the case, Y&R will have to address this Christian paternity issue sooner or later, so it’d bound to stir up new problems for Nick and Adam once they finally do.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam and Nick will inevitably find other reasons to rip into each other down the road.
