Chelsea winger Noni Madueke is really enjoying playing alongside one of his teammates.
Noni Madueke has been overlooked by Mauricio Pochettino for most of the season so far, but the Argentine has given him a few opportunities of late.
And the 21-year-old has now told Chelsea’s official website that being in the same side as one of his teammates has been great for him.
Madueke has been a shining light for the Blues over their last few fixtures, scoring in the 3-2 win against Luton Town at the weekend.
Pochettino now wants him to connect to the team better and become a harder worker.
Noni Madueke praises Cole Palmer
Madueke has described Cole Palmer as a “great player” and has complete trust in his teammate when they are on the pitch together.
On the England international, Madueke said: “I have played with Cole for ages — since Under-15s — so I know his game.
“He is a great player and great for players like me. He is always in between the lines and I know that as soon as he gets the ball on the half-turn, he has the composure to find me like he did for my goal. Long may his form continue.”
Cole Palmer everyone’s favourite at Chelsea right now
At this moment in time, everyone at Chelsea probably loves Palmer.
He is doing a lot for the club following his £45m move (Evening Standard) from Manchester City last summer.
Like Madueke, Palmer was also able to get his name on the scoresheet against Luton. He netted twice to take his goal tally in the Premier League this season to eight.
The former City man registered an assist as well, so it was quite a complete attacking display from him. It is no surprise, then, that Palmer is receiving a lot of love at Stamford Bridge right now. You do not want to imagine where Chelsea would be without him.
