Inside Jamie Lynn Spears’s childhood growing up alongside Ryan Gosling and superstar sister Britney – as star quits I’m A Celeb after 10 days in camp

Jamie Lynn Spears has become the latest star to quit I’m A Celeb on medical grounds after Grace Dent left the show and Nella Rose was seen by a doctor.

Viewers will see the 32-year-old’s exit from the show in Wednesday night’s episode, when the campmates will also be made aware of her departure.

During her time on the show, Jamie Lynn shed light on her very unusual childhood as Britney was launched into the spotlight.

While her famous sister acted on The Mickey Mouse Club between 1993 and 1994, Jamie spent her younger years rubbing shoulders with the likes of Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake while Britney was on set.

In a YouTube video titled Growing Up As A Spears in 2013, Jamie Lynn confessed: ‘My childhood was definitely different than your typical childhood.

‘I remember being like “my sister’s on the radio – I don’t understand.”

‘My childhood consisted of being able to travel with my sister and do things most people never get to do in their life. My sister made it so fun. She just let me run around like it was my tour.

‘As a child you don’t understand who’s around you or who you’re meeting until you’re looking at pictures.’

Jamie Lynn shared what life was like in the star-studded Disney world on Tuesday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity.

As the conversation turned to the iconic Ken actor, Jamie Lynn said: ‘He’s a lovely person in real life. When I was younger I grew up around him because he was on The Mickey Mouse Club with my sister.

‘Him, my sister, Justin [Timberlake], Christina [Aguilera]… all of them were on The Mickey Mouse Club. Justin and JC [from NSYNC].’

‘He’s a lovely person in real life’: I’m A Celebrity’s Jamie Lynn Spears, 32, has revealed she used to cause chaos living at Disney world while growing up alongside Ryan Gosling in Tuesday’s episode of the show

It may have seemed normal for Jamie Lynn at the time, however campmates were shocked to find out the star even lived at Disney world for a while.

Jamie Lynn continued: ‘We lived at Disney World for a couple of summers,’ as Josie Gibson replied shocked, ‘You lived at Disney World?’

While Britney, who is almost ten years Jamie Lynn’s senior, was starring on Disney, the Zoey 101 star was only three or four years old and confessed she used to cause chaos around the Disney set.

‘I was like 3 or 4 and I was causing hell. I was really bad. They want to make a good impression, I’m in a little dress, I’m there at the stage, on my mama’s hip.

‘[Britney said] “This is Jamie Lynn my little sister” and I went, “I just farted”. They were like, “It never mattered where we were, you always said something to make everyone uncomfortable.”

She continued: ‘I think it’s something I still do now. As a child you don’t know to filter yourself.

‘And now I know how to be direct, but with a filter, if that makes any sense. But as a kid I was just very direct with no filter.’

Reflecting on her wild stories, Josie in the Bush Telegraph said: ‘Even though she’s brought up with a very different childhood, she’s still very, very normal.’

But in addition to having fun on set, Jamie Lynn has previously revealed the struggles of growing up in her elder sister’s ‘shadow’.

The actress spoke candidly about her experience of being the sibling of a pop icon during the season premiere of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test in January.

Jamie Lynn became emotional after a tough military exercise as she discussed Britney achieving global fame when she was just a child, admitting she wants to prove that she is ‘worth something’ too.

During the interview, Jamie Lynn discussed her demons, and said: ‘Growing up, my sister became famous, worldwide famous, when I was very young.

‘I guess I just wanna like [proving that] I’m just like worth something.’

‘I’m so proud of her, love her to death, but I don’t know. Sometimes I feel like I don’t really have anything for myself,’ she continued.

While Jamie Lynn achieved her own level of fame thanks to her starring role in Nickelodeon series Zoey 101, she admitted to feeling overshadowed by Britney.

In a confessional, Jamie Lynn said she was ‘extremely proud’ of her sister’s success, but also wanted to carve out her ‘own identity’.

Britney and Ryan were also joined by Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera in the show

‘I struggle with self-esteem all the time,’ Jamie Lynn admitted.

During her time in the camp, Jamie Lynn discussed her fractured relationship with her sister, insisting she’s learned not to speak publicly about any difficulties between her and her pop star sibling, 41, but admitted her family ‘fights better than most’.

American star Jamie claimed both she and Britney had ‘complicated’ upbringings which they’d both dealt with in different ways but, despite their differences, Britney would be ‘concerned’ about her suffering in the jungle.

She insisted Britney would be ‘checking on me heavily’ and would have been concerned about her daily crying at the start of this year’s ITV series.

In camp, Sam asked Jamie Lynn: ‘Do Britney’s kids really like you? Are you like the cool aunt? Do you think she’s watching you on this?’

Jamie Lynn said: ‘I can imagine she’d be worried about me on here. I think she’s probably checking in on me heavily.

‘I do think she’s probably like, “Why would she do that?” She asked me that before I came here, she was like, “You’re really going to do it?” I was like, “I’m going to go to Australia and check it out.”

‘My crying, she’d probably be like, “Ya’ll get her the f*** out of there, right now!” She’s a good big sister, she is.

Jamie said growing up with Britney on set was ‘magical’ but has added she has felt in her spotlight

Jamie Lynn and Britney have a notoriously fractured relationship – with the latter forcing a ban of her name on I’m A Celeb

‘Yeah, I love her. Me and her throw down. The world’s seen that. I’ve learned to stop talking about it publicly, but you know what, family’s fight. Listen, we just do it better than most.’

Sam replied: ‘But everyone does man. Everyone’s got stuff they argue about all the time.’

Jamie Lynn said: ‘Me and her both have had a very complicated upbringing. We’ve had very complicated circumstances and we both had to deal with them in different ways.

‘Sometimes we took it out on each other when perhaps we shouldn’t have.

‘I’ve never, ever… I’ve been the one person in her life – and she can say this – I’ve never taken anything from her, you know? I’ve been the one person in her life who’s always said, “I just want to be your sister”.

‘We just had a really weird life so we can’t explain it to many people, but at the end of the road I know that that’s my family, I love them.’

Viewers mocked Jamie Lynn Spears as the camp fell into silence when she insisted she loved her famous sister Britney.

Jamie Lynn insisted ‘I love my sister’ when retired jockey Frankie Dettori, 52, asked her if it was true she and her older sister did not get along during Friday’s episode.

While Jamie Lynn did not deny rumours of a falling out, she did say she loved her sister, prompting the rest of her campmates to sit in silence after hearing her words.

Britney was said to have imposed a strict ban on her sister Jamie Lynn ahead of her stint on I’m A Celebrity, warning her not to mention her name as the pair attempt to rebuild their relationship.

Britney’s request for Jamie Lynn to keep her name out of her mouth comes after a slew of reality television appearances, and interviews, in which she brought up her sister.

In January, Jamie Lynn was cast in Fox’s grueling reality competition show, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

During the first episode, Jamie Lynn broke down in tears as she discussed Britney achieving global fame when she was just a child, admitting she wants to prove that she is ‘worth something’ too.

‘Growing up, my sister became famous, worldwide famous, when I was very young,’ Jamie Lynn said.

‘I guess I just wanna like [proving that] I’m just like worth something. I’m so proud of her, love her to death, but I don’t know. Sometimes I feel like I don’t really have anything for myself,’ she added.

Jamie Lynn quit during episode two, citing her daughters as the reason for her departure.

‘Like, I just can’t do it one more night. I can’t do it,’ Jamie Lynn said while confiding in Spice Girl Mel B at the start of the episode.

In October, Jamie Lynn became a contestant on Dancing With The Stars and, according to Variety, earned $125,000, which is the standard pay for a celebrity who completes rehearsals and two weeks of competition.
