Taylor Swift reclaims the throne of the Billboard 200 album charts with 1989 (Taylor’s Version), matching a record previously held by Elvis Presley.

Taylor Swift has continued to dominate the charts, landing her fourth non-consecutive week atop the Billboard 200 album charts.

The 34-year-old singer has returned to the top of the Billboard 200 with 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which has also spent eight straight weeks atop the Australian ARIA charts as well.

She also has three albums in the top 10 – with both Midnights and Lover in the third and seventh spots, via Billboard.

Swift has also tied a record set by Elvis Presley, with her latest return to the top of the album chart marking her 67th week on top.

That ties Elvis for the most weeks atop the album charts for a solo artist, though she still has some work to do to pass The Beatles.

The British rock group holds the record for the most weeks atop the Billboard charts for any artist – solo or group – with a whopping 132 weeks.

1989 rose from the second spot last week, selling 136,000 equivalent album units in the United States for the week ending December 21.

Those sales are up 25% from last week, which could be due to various holiday promotions.

1989 spent its first two weeks atop the charts – November 11 and November 18 – before returning to the top on the December 9 charts.

Taylor Swift’s 1989 and Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday swapped spots, with Pink Friday dropping a spot to #2.

Pink Friday sold 100,000 equivalent album units, which was down a whopping 56% from Minaj’s debut on the charts last week.

Michael Buble’s Christmas rises to the #4 spot, while Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time jumps to #5 and Drake’s For All the Dogs drops from third to sixth.

Nat King Cole’s The Christmas Song returns to the top 10 in eighth while SZA’s SOS falls to ninth and Mariah Carey’s Merry Christmas returns to the top 10 for the first time over the holiday season.

The holiday hit rose from 12th place last week to 10th this week, 29 years after it first hit the charts in December 1994.

This marks the sixth consecutive season the album has revisited the top 10 on the Billboard album charts.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S., which is measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate.

Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.
