Liverpool forward Mo Salah says Liverpool ‘can’t keep dropping points’ in the title race after draw with Arsenal on Saturday.
Gabriel’s early goal was cancelled out by a Mohamed Salah stunner and, despite both pushing for victory, the Premier League‘s top two deservedly shared the spoils.
It was Liverpool’s second successive home draw in the Premier League following the goalless stalemate with Man United at Anfield six days earlier.
Salah posted on X: ‘We know we can’t keep dropping points like this and we will keep fighting to do better. ‘
Arsenal re-established a clear lead at the top of the Premier League in time for Christmas but their wait for a win at Anfield stretches into a 12th year after an absorbing 1-1 draw which ensured Liverpool kept pace in the title race.

Being top for December 25 is no guarantee of future performance, however, as both these clubs are well aware; on the last six occasions a team has failed to go on and lift the trophy from this position it was one of them.
Jamie Carragher believes something is amiss with Liverpool’s forward line and suggested Jurgen Klopp may need to sign a replacement for Luis Diaz.
He was speaking after Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal, where Salah saved the day with a brilliant strike but the other forwards failed to score for the fifth game running.
Diaz failed to score for the seventh Premier League game on the bounce while Darwin Nunez drew a blank for the 12th consecutive game in all competitions.
While Liverpool are still among the league’s top scorers with 37 goals in 18 games, they have been reliant on Salah and players from further back to contribute goals in recent weeks.
Carragher told the Gary Neville Podcast: ‘Looking at Liverpool’s front three, there’s something not right about it.
‘Gakpo has been here for nearly 12 months and he’s had flashes but nowhere near enough. Diaz looks a shadow of himself after his knee injuries last season.
‘I really feel that Diaz needs to have a good second half of the season otherwise Liverpool will be going into the market in the summer on the left-hand side. It just feels that with Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino going, they haven’t replaced them in terms of quality.’
