Angelina Jolie’s quick trip to New York City with her kids Pax, 19, and Zahara, 18, is over.
The trio arrived in the Big Apple on July 14 and headed back home to Los Angeles on Monday.
The Maleficent star, 48, looked chic and elegant in a black trench coat belted tightly at her slim waist over black pants.
She slipped her feet into a pair of black pumps, carried a large brown tote back and put sunglasses on her famous face.
Zahara looked pretty in a red top and jeans with a black jacket while Pax rocked grey jeans and a white t-shirt and carried a black jacket as they made their way through the busy terminal.
While in New York City, she took meetings for her new brand Atelier Jolie as she was seen carrying notebooks with blueprints on it for her new retail space.
A week ago it was revealed that Jolie had leased 57 Great Jones Street in New York City.
The building was once owned by Andy Warhol and was the last place Jean-Michel Basquiat lived and worked, from 1983 until his death in 1988.
‘As soon as she walked through the space she fell in love with it,’ John Roesch, the broker at Meridian Capital Group who represented the landlord said, per Curbed.
He added: ‘She made sure she got this deal.’
And she plans to open Atelier Jolie in the space, which she calls a ‘global family’ of underrepresented tailors who exclusively work with upcycled items.
‘We hope to create a community of creativity and inspiration, regardless of socio-economic background,’ Jolie wrote on Atelier Jolie’s website.
It will be ‘a place for creative people to collaborate with a skilled and diverse family of expert tailors.’ It will also be, ‘a place to have fun.’
The property was on the market for $60,000 per month with a minimum lease term of 10 years – however, it is unclear whether that is how much Jolie will pay.
The 6,600-square-foot building had been on the market since November.
The realtor said Jolie was ‘very hands-on’ about closing the deal, and visited the space multiple times over six months.
‘I would think you would usually have the team handle the whole thing, but she wanted to make sure she got the deal done,’ Roesch said.
And Jolie faced competition for the space from multiple people. However, in the end, ‘we decided that Angelina’s concept would be the best fit and use for the building,’ Roesch said.
