A large part of that amount that Dre earned was thanks to the sale of the Beats Music brand and Beats Electronics company to Apple for $3 billion. The Beats brand was founded by Dre in 2008 with Jimmy Iovine.

Dr. Dre’s real name is Andre Romelle Young. He has been a famous rapper since the 1980s. He is also the patron of famous rappers like Eminem or 50 Cent.

Dre married lawyer Nicole Threatt in 1996. The two have two children together.

Dre partnered with Interscope Records president Jimmy Iovine to establish the Beats brand in 2006. The first Beats-branded headphones were sold in 2008.

In May 2014, Apple acquired the online music service Beats Music and the headphone manufacturing company Beats Electronics. The total value of this deal is 3 billion USD.

After this deal was confirmed, Dre became the world’s first billionaire hip hop artist.

After that, Dre quickly spent $40 million to buy a 4,000 square meter villa in Brentwood.

The most prominent feature of the villa is the surrounding infinity pool.

Dre also plans to build a 3,000 square meter studio below his villa.

In January 2015, Dre sold another of his mansions in Hollywood Hills for $32 million.

Meanwhile, Dre still owns another mansion in Woodland Hills. He bought it for 2.3 million USD in 1999.

In addition, Dre also owns a 2,600 m2 house on the billionaire’s beach in Malibu. The house is valued at $12.5 million.

Not only does he own villas, Dre also owns a 5.79-hectare plot of land in Hidden Hills worth $14.5 million.

Dre’s favorite car is a Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe priced at $450,000.

This white Bentley Coupe was a gift from Eminem. The car costs about 200,000 USD.
