Conor McGregor‘s pub in Dublin has lost almost £2million since the UFC star invested in the venue three years ago.

The Black Forge Inn reported losses of €432,000 (£374,000) last year, according to accounts filed by its owner Jemi Ventures.

In 2021, the pub posted losses of £980,000 with business restricted because of the coronavirus pandemic. Its cumulative losses to the end of last year, meanwhile, stand at over £1.73m.

McGregor purchased the watering hole, which is located in Crumlin, the Dublin’s Southside suburb he grew up in, back in 2020 for over £1.5m.

According to the accounts, Jemi Ventures values the Black Forge Inn and its assets at a net book value of £3.8m at the end of last year.

The amount owed on a loan provided to the business, meanwhile, declined from £4.6m to £3.5m at the end of 2022.

Despite the losses racked up by the Black Forge Inn, McGregor has expanded his drinks portfolio since investing in the pub.

The 35-year-old founded the Proper No 12 Irish Whiskey brand and made around £110m as he sold a majority stake in the business to Proximo Spirits  in a deal worth £478m.

The owner of Bushmills whiskey, Kraken Rum and Jose Cuervo Tequila, Proximo Spirits already held a 49 percent stake in Proper No. 12 Irish Whiskey.

And in April the Irish Independent reported McGregor purchased the Porterhouse Brewery in Dublin, where one of his companies brews his Forged Irish Stout.

The brand was first brewed in 2020 and had only been available at the Black Forge Inn until this year, when it was launched in the UK.

Launched in 1989, the Porterhouse Brewing Company moved into its current site at Glasnevin, Dublin 11, five years ago.

McGregor has also built up an impressive property portfolio, with 200 apartments set to be built in Dublin on one of the sites he owns.

The former two-division UFC champion has not fought since his first-round defeat by Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 back in 2021 – when he suffered a brutal leg injury.

The Irishman, however, claims he will make a return to the cage in April following a three-year hiatus as he insists he is in for UFC 300.

Speaking on The MMA Hour this month his long-term coach John Kavanagh said: ‘We were hoping for April. That was the hope. That was what we were told. And now it seems to be the summertime.

‘I don’t know [why]. That’s literally what we were having a bit of a back and forward [about] today.’
