In an interview to Tribune de Geneve Roger Federer was asked if he would do something differently looking back at his 20-year career. “Yeah, but the mistakes you do are part of your life”, Federer explained after presenting the Laver Cup on Friday in Geneva. “I would have done some things in a different way, I do not even know which ones.

I understood it pretty early, thank to the people who surrounded me and achieved progresses during my career, that the life is not just about taking and re-taking, but giving.
Laver Cup is a part of this philosophy. I always had an idea to create a pleasant event for the crowd and players, in teams, because we have a few team tennis competitions. And it works. I have a wife, four children, a team around the road, for me it’s different. But that’s not like this for everyone.”
