Because Selena switched up her outfits throughout the evening, Melissa came up with a ‘chic and elevated’ glam that would work with her silver sequined gown and her flirty purple frock.

‘This is all about looking really polished and chic,’ Melissa explained.

The beauty content creator ended up choosing ‘softer tones and just went with a little bit of a defined and elongated eye with a soft fluffy brow,’ so the glam wouldn’t compete with the outfit.

Melissa gave fans a behind-the-scenes look at how she does the popstar’s ‘really full, feathered out brow’ using only two products.

‘The real secret behind Selena’s brows is to make them look really nice and full, and still be able to see all the individual hairs, which gives them that kind of brushed up, feathered, soft look, rather than them being too dense,’ Melissa revealed.

Melissa never adds product in the front of the brow because she wants it to look ‘really soft.’

Melissa makes sure the shape of Selena’s brow ‘remains true’ to her natural brow structure, ‘rather than creating a peak, or anything too angular.’ Melissa then drags the tail of the brow out to elongate the brow and lift the eye.

Melissa detailed how to get ‘juicy, hydrated, dewy’ skin like Selena.

‘To get a realistic glow, there has to be kind of layers of glow coming through,’ Melissa explained.

She starts with a luminizing primer all over the face, but suggested that people who get oily use this primer on the edges of their face and then a mattifying one through the center.

‘You don’t want to suffocate the skin, I think that takes away from the juicy glow,’ the makeup artist said, suggesting a dense foundation brush.

Melissa finishes up with a face mist on the edges of the face to build ‘that nice juiciness and that hydrated look.’
