Casemiro is being linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League – and Cristiano Ronaldo has already made it clear he would relish the chance to play with the Brazilian for a third different club.

Casemiro, 31, only joined United in a £60m move from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022.

But after a solid debut season at Old Trafford, the Brazilian has struggled this term and is now being touted as a potential January exit.

talkSPORT has reported that Sir Jim Ratcliffe – who is set to purchase a 25 per cent stake in United in the coming days – is willing to cash in on Casemiro when the January window opens.

INEOS founder Ratcliffe is said to be ‘open to offers’ for the midfielder.

But his £350,000-a-week wages may prove to be a barrier to a potential sale, with most clubs priced out of a move for the Brazilian.

One potential exit route for Casemiro is the Saudi Pro League, with several clubs reported to be interested.

That could include Al Nassr, the club of his former Madrid and United teammate Ronaldo.

The Portuguese star has previously expressed his admiration for Casemiro and his professionalism.

In his explosive interview with Piers Morgan shortly before his departure from United, Ronaldo named the Brazilian as one of only three players in Erik ten Hag’s squad who were ‘top professionals’.

“In Manchester United I can mention [Diogo] Dalot, he’s young, but very professional but I don’t doubt that he’s going to have longevity in football because he’s young, he’s smart, intelligent and he’s very professional,” said Ronaldo.

“Probably [Lisandro] Martinez, Casemiro is in his 30s, but I will say Dalot.”

Casemiro, who still has three-and-a-half years left on his United deal, is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.

But he has no intention of leaving the club in January, according to the Manchester Evening News.

It is claimed the Brazilian will ‘not entertain’ the thought of leaving the club mid-season – although a summer move could be a possibility.
