Dozens of workers involved in Kansas City’s film industry have put together a touching thank you video for Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs quarterback was very moved by the tribute from KC Film, and shared it to his followers, captioning in with three heart emojis.

After 7 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes has blossomed into one of sport’s most endorsed athletes. With that star power comes great responsibility, and the QB’s decision to keep all of his commercial filming local has boosted the local economy (in particular, the film industry).

Kansas City Film Commissioner, Steph Shannon, presented the moving video with the following statement: “In this month of Thanksgiving, KC Film Office and the Kansas City production industry want to take one day to flood Patrick Mahomes with gratitude for choosing to film in KC for so many years. That work bolsters our industry, gives us job opportunities and an economic impact that matters to each and every one of us.”

The video, which features dozens of workers associated with the film industry features their personal testimony highlighting what Mahomes’ business decisions have meant for their livelihoods.
