In a tweet, she emphasized the need to elect officials who will actively fight against police brutality and all forms of racism, expressing her support for the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
Swift also recommended a Medium article written by former President Barack Obama, providing insights into creating change at the state and local levels. Additionally, she advocated for mail-in voting, highlighting the importance of enabling people to cast their ballots safely during the pandemic.
In response to the death of George Floyd and the ensuing protests, Swift has been actively using her platform to address issues of racial injustice. She participated in Black Out Tuesday by posting a black square on Instagram, demonstrating solidarity with the protests. Swift also spoke out against President Donald Trump’s controversial tweet, condemning the use of violence and expressing her commitment to voting him out in the upcoming November elections.
