Keanu Reeves has revealed he’s married to Bram Stoker’s Dracula co-star Winona Ryder ‘under the eyes of God’ – after their wedding scene was presided over by real priests.

The Speed actor, 57, starred alongside the Edward Scissorhands actress, 50 in the 1992 Francis Ford Coppola film which saw their characters tie the knot.

25 years later the pair began to wonder if they were actually married in real life when they reunited for film Destination Wedding.

Winona previously said in a 2018 interview: ‘We actually got married in Dracula. No, I swear to god I think we’re married in real life. In that scene, Francis used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So, I think we’re married.’

Keanu told Esquire that he believes the pair are married ‘under the eyes of God.’

He said: ‘We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests. Winona says we are. Coppola says we are. So I guess we’re married under the eyes of God.’

Keanu has carved out a reputation not only for his stellar movie roles but also as the ‘Internet’s boyfriend’ with his numerous acts of goodwill and generosity to others.

His Speed and The Lake House co-star Sandra Bullock recently recounted how the star surprised her with champagne and truffles when she revealed she had never tried the opulent combination.

She told Esquire the star visited her home in 1995, a year after Speed and said: ‘I just thought you might want to try Champagne and truffles, to see what it’s like.’

‘He sat on the couch. Bullock poured some Champagne, and they opened the truffles. Keanu put his hands out, without a word, and Bullock painted his nails black, same as hers.’

Keanu didn’t stay long as he had a date.

Sandra said her and Keanu never had a romance because they wanted to preserve their friendship – and grew up together on ‘parallel roads.’

She added: ‘And the longer time goes on, the more in awe I am of the human being. Would I have been able to say that if he had dumped me and made me angry? Probably not.’

It was also recently revealed that he gifted his four-man John Wick 4 stunt team Rolex Submariner watches valued at $9,150 each.

The recipients of the gifts – Bruce Concepcion, Jeremy Marinas, Dave Camarillo, and Li Qiang – with Marinas sharing the gift on his Instagram story.

He added it was the, ‘best wrap gift ever,’ revealing the inscription that read, ‘The John Wick Five Jeremy Thank you Keanu JW4 2021.’

With post-production getting under way, Lionsgate has set a May 27, 2022 release date for the sequel.

Reeves returns as the title character, along with Laurence Fishburne as The Bowery King, Lance Reddick as Charon and Ian McShane as Winston.

New cast members include Donnie Yen as Caine, Hiroyuki Sanada as Shimazu and Shamier Anderson as Tracker.
