Paris Hilton addresses fans’ concerns over safety fears for her children in her new car as she insists she’s ‘still learning as a new mother’

Paris Hilton has responded to fans’ concerns for her two children after they shared fears over the safety of her new car.

The socialite had taken to TikTok on Monday to post a clip of her infant daughter London, six months old, and son Phoenix, 16 months, buckled into their car seats, but fans were quick to question the installation of her children’s car seats.

Comments under Paris’ post noted that her children were sat in forward-facing seats, despite the website for the seat’s brand stating they were ‘intended for rear-ward facing only.’

‘Please hire someone to install car seats,’ one fan wrote while another added, ‘Crazy unsafe. This is wild.’

Paris went onto respond to fans fears in a new TikTok post, saying she ‘appreciates’ their advice and she’s ‘still learning as a new mom.’

She posted a new video showing that her children were now sat in car seats facing in the opposite direction, and captioned her post: ‘Thanks for the mom advice, I’m new to this’

Fans had previously shared concerns that her daughter London, six months, and son Phoenix, 16 months, were sat in front-facing car seats

She posted a new video showing that her children were now sat in car seats facing in the opposite direction, and captioned her post: ‘Thanks for the mom advice, I’m new to this.’

One commentor praised Paris for ‘not taking offence,’ by fans’ concerns, and she responded: ‘No, I’m not taking offense. I am a new mom and just learning as I go. So I appreciate advice when it is kind as I’m just trying to be the best mom I can be.’

Another user added: ‘I love that you showed you were vulnerable and not perfect and took the advice,’ and Paris replied: ‘No one is perfect, love you.’

Paris’ original clip showed her two kids, who sat in the front-facing car seats, as she told them: ‘Happy Mother’s Day.’

California Highway Patrol stipulates that Children under two years of age shall ride in a rear-facing car seat unless the child weighs 40 or more pounds OR is 40 or more inches tall.

The comments under the video continued, with posts including, ‘It’s safest to have your babies rear facing until they are 4 or over 40lbs.’

‘I’d definitely recommend having a car seat specialist take a peek, there are a few things wrong here, just want to look out for babies safety!’

‘THE CAR SEATS OMG NOOOOOO; They should be rear facing;’

But Paris’ new video showed she’d taken her fans’ advice on board and had now placed his children in rear-facing car seats

She captioned her post by noting she’s still ‘new’ to motherhood

Several fans also praised Paris for her mature response, and taking their concerns on board

One wrote, ‘Crazy unsafe. This is wild’

The comments continued, with another person writing, ‘It’s safest to have your babies rear facing until they are 4 or over 40lbs’

‘Please hire someone to install car seats,’ another person chimed in

‘Babe… Momma to momma… let me come help you with those straps. I took a course and everything. Let’s keep these babies safe as can be.’

Other people tried to sprinkle in some positivity while still giving advice: ‘I think their car seats need to be reverse facing. You’re doing amazing though!’

It comes after Paris revealed she wore a prosthetic baby bump while her surrogate was pregnant in order to know what it ‘felt like to be pregnant.’

She shared about her motherhood journey through the two pregnancies in an extra chapter of her memoir, Paris: The Memoir, which was shared with Today.

‘I wanted to know what it felt like to be pregnant, so I bought a prosthetic stomach and wore it around the house for the day. I know that sounds crazy, but I wanted it to feel real — even in just this small way,’ she wrote.

‘Feeling that weight on the front of me, running my hands over it, envisioning a whole life in front of us,’ the star added.

‘It didn’t matter that no one else could see that I was expecting. My emotional baby bump was real, it was precious, and I was so completely happy to know it was exactly where it needed to be, growing warmer and bigger every day.’

The entrepreneur began businessman dating Reum in 2019.

They became engaged in February of 2021, and they tied the knot that November.
