Internal turmoil within the Lakers: LeBron James, Darvin Ham and Anthony Davis disagree

LeBron James joined by Darvin Ham in frustration with Anthony Davis as Lakers divide grows deeper

The Lakers coach fired back at AD after his Game 2 comments

Darvin Ham and Anthony Davis had some disagreements about Game 2AP

Things are not looking good for the Los Angeles Lakers. The fallout from going down 2-0 to the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Playoffs has seen LeBron James fed up with Anthony Davis and Davis throw Lakers coach Darvin Ham under the bus. As Game 3 approached, Ham made it clear that he does not co-sign Davis’ excuses.

Darvin Ham fires back at Anthony Davis

Ham has come under fire for his coaching methods all season, from everyone including James, Davis, fans and media.

When the Lakers need a scapegoat, the 50-year-old coach often becomes the man in the crosshairs. That was the case in Game 2, when Los Angeles was playing well enough to steal a game in Denver and even the series 1-1, but threw away a 20-point lead in the second half as Jamal Murray crushed their hearts at the buzzer.

During the game, James appeared visibly frustrated with Davis’ lack of effort. In the aftermath, AD again shifted the blame to the coaching staff, stating that the Lakers “have stretches when we don’t know what we’re doing.”

Ham directly responded to that jab, saying that his coaches “pride themselves” on being organized. He chalked up Davis’ comments to frustration.

“I’ll agree to disagree on that one,” he said, clashing with his star forward.

James, Davis and Ham need to find a way to get back on the same page as the series returns to Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles if they want any hope of advancing past the defending NBA champions.

If the Lakers don’t win four of the next five games, their season will be over, and the LeBron James era in LA could come to a premature ending.
