The Golden State Warriors picked up a crucial win over the San Antonio Spurs 117-113 Sunday night to help hold their playoff position.

The Warriors got a big game from Steph Curry, who dropped 33 points and eight assists, but they also got some help from a vintage Draymond Green performance. Green had 21 points, 11 assists and six rebounds, making some clutch plays for Golden State down the stretch.

After the win, fans praised Curry and Green for powering to a win, which is ever important as the Warriors look to secure a spot in the Play-In tournament.

This is why Draymond/Trayce is so powerful – Trayce bit on a pumpfake by Wemby, but Draymond was right there to help and stripped Wemby clean. When Draymond gets beat, Trayce is there to help. This is how you close a game.

With the win, the Warriors improved to 40-34 on the year and held their spot in 10th place in the West. Golden State is still a game and a half behind the Los Angeles Lakers, who are in ninth place, but created some separation from the 11th-seeded Houston Rockets, who lost to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.

As the season’s end nears, the Warriors are looking to string together a late push to improve their playoff seeding. A win on the road Sunday helped that push.
