Club want to sign £37m player from Chelsea, Blues have no plans to keep him

Chelsea could have the chance to offload one of their players to another European club in the summer.

Looking at Chelsea‘s squad right now, the Blues have Nicolas Jackson and are expected to add another centre-forward.

They have been linked with a lot of strikers, with Paulo Dybala’s name recently coming up.

The AS Roma star has been in good form this season, scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in 20 Serie A appearances.

The arrival of the 30-year-old or another centre-forward at Stamford Bridge would make it difficult for Romelu Lukaku to stay. However, it is quite clear that the Belgian does not want to be at Chelsea anyway, hence his two recent loan spells away from the club, and it looks like a European outfit could provide him with another escape route this summer.

Who is interested in signing Romelu Lukaku?

According to Turkish outlet Fotomac, Fenerbahce want to bring Lukaku in on loan when the transfer window opens.

The Blues have no plans of keeping hold of Lukaku, claims Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, which is good news for Fenerbahce. However, they may still face a problem when trying to sign him.

Back in November, the Evening Standard reported that Chelsea were keen on selling the Belgium international and had slapped a £37m price tag on his head.

With Fenerbahce looking to do a loan deal, then, they may not get their man unless Chelsea change their stance.

But Lukaku clearly has no future in west London and a loan move to Fenerbahce would be his third successive one, so the above happening looks very unlikely.

England vs Belgium

Lukaku will get a chance to remind everyone in England what he is capable of on Tuesday.

Belgium take on the Three Lions at Wembley, where Lukaku could find himself going up against Ben Chilwell and Conor Gallagher.

Chilwell and Lukaku played alongside each other during the 2021/22 season, but it is unlikely that they will share the same pitch as team-mates ever again. There simply looks to be no way back for the former Inter Milan striker at Chelsea.
