Jimmy Kimmel mocks Aaron Rodgers with ‘body double’ bit after Sandy Hook report

Jimmy Kimmel wasn’t going to let a chance to mock Aaron Rodgers slip by.

“I hate to do this because I’m not the conspiracy type,” the comedian said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.“

“But I have my own issues with Aaron Rodgers. I’ve spent the last couple of months looking into this, and I think it’s time to share something with the world. It’s going to shock you, so buckle in.”

Jimmy Kimmel’s feud with Aaron Rodgers added another chapter on Thursday.

Kimmel then launched into his own conspiracy theory, joking that the “deep state” won’t tell us that Rodgers’ NFL career has been a sham all along.

“The first time he played in an NFL game was last year — the week before his first game with the Jets, Aaron’s body double, the guy who played every single game for him before this, died of COVID, and they had nobody dumb-looking enough to fill in,” he quipped.

“So they had to bring in the real Aaron Rodgers, and he had to go in and fake an injury on the third play of opening day. That’s why he only threw one pass.”

Kimmel concluded the bit by stating that his conspiracy theory is “more believable than what Aaron Rodgers told people what happened at Sandy Hook.”

Kimmel’s monologue came a day after a report by CNN accused Rodgers of being a Sandy Hook denier.

Rodgers denied the report from CNN in a statement shared Thursday on social media.

“As I’m on the record saying in the past, what happened in Sandy Hook was an absolute tragedy. I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place. Again, I hope that we learn from this and other tragedies to identify the signs that will allow us to prevent unnecessary loss of life. My thoughts and prayers continue to remain with the families affected along with the entire Sandy Hook community,” the Jets quarterback wrote.

The feud between Kimmel and Rodgers has been growing for months after Rodgers implied the late-night host’s name would appear on a list of Jeffrey Epstein associates.

After that did not happen, Rodgers claimed his comments on “The Pat McAfee Show” were taken out of context.

There could be plenty of fodder to come with Rodgers being rumored as a candidate to be Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate in the 2024 presidential election.

Kimmel has mocked Rodgers on multiple occasions since the feud’s beginning in 2021, which intensified in the last few months, including in a stinging opening monologue by Kimmel in January.

Donald Trump has pulled off an astounding political comeback and regained the White House after being declared the winner of the 2024 U.S. presidential election. He becomes the first president in over 130 years – and only the second in history – to win a non-consecutive second term. His defeat of Vice President Kamala Harris marks a remarkable return for a twice-impeached president, who left office in 2021 on the back of claims that he had incited an assault on the U.S. Capitol building, and who was convicted earlier this year on multiple counts of business fraud.
