The topic of Mbappe’s future has attracted attention over the past three weeks, since the French player announced his decision to leave PSG after a meeting with President Nasser Al-Khelaifi. During that time, Mbappe has completed agreements with Real Madrid and is expected to officially sign a 5-year contract on July 1, the day the contract with PSG will expire.

Coach Luis Enrique, after many times avoiding answering, also confirmed information that Mbappe will leave PSG at the end of this season. Answering a question related to Mbappe’s future after the 2-1 win over Sociedad in the second leg of the 1/8 round of the Champions League, the Spanish coach said: “It’s clear that Kylian Mbappe’s immediate future will not be here. So we will have to test tactics with other players.”

While Luis Enrique confirmed Mabappe’s departure, Nasser Al-Khelaifi – President of PSG did not confirm this and was open about this issue. In a recent interview, he said: “I cannot confirm that Mbappe will leave. He still has a contract here, but we are building something for the future.”

Mbappe, after shining with 2 goals in the match against Sociedad, denied all rumors surrounding a tense relationship with coach Luis Enrique. According to the French striker, the relationship between him and the former Barcelona coach is very good.

In the second leg of the 1/8 round of the Champions League, Mbappe had an excellent performance to score 2 goals to help PSG overcome Sociedad 2-1. With a total score of 4-1 after 2 matches, PSG won a ticket to the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
