Jason Kelce made several fashion statements in support of brother Travis and the Kansas City Chiefs during Sunday’s playoff win over the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park, New York.
His shirtless celebration in response to one of Travis’ two touchdown receptions went viral, but the mysterious ‘Big Yeti’ t-shirt Jason arrived in has also drawn interest from fans.
As it turns out, the shirt was a reference to Travis, who earned the nickname as an unshaven pickup basketball player during the pair’s college days at the University of Cincinnati.
‘It’s all about Big Yeti to me,’ Jason said on the pair’s New Heights podcast in October of 2022 when asked about his favorite nicknames for his brother. ‘Big Yeti is the best nickname you’ve ever had.’
As Travis explained in 2022, he was a harrier person at Cincinnati between 2008 and 2012.

‘I had the big beard, I had the long hair, I had the chest hair, back hair, arm hair, leg hair,’ Travis said. ‘I was just a big ole Yeti out there, man. All the homies on the court were calling me ‘Big Yeti’ — especially ’cause I was a low-post player, so I was just down there giving work, handing out work in the post.’
Travis isn’t exaggerating. A former high school basketball star from Cleveland, the younger Kelce brother received Division I hoops scholarship offers before committing to play football for the Bearcats.
‘West Virginia is where I wanted to play basketball,’ Kelce said in December, revealing that he nearly accepted a scholarship to play for now-former Mountaineers coach Bob Huggins, who coincidentally previously coached at Cincinnati.
The memory of ‘Big Yeti’ was revived on Sunday, when Jason was seen arriving in Buffalo wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the nickname. The shirt also featured a cartoon yeti dunking a football.
For just $38, Travis Kelce fans can have their own ‘Big Yeti’ shirt inspired by the Chiefs star
The item is actually available for purchase through HOMAGE, an apparel website that sells everything from retro team shirts to Grateful Dead ephemera.
Jason’s Big Yeti shirt comes in multiple colors and only costs $38.
Of course, it was Jason’s bare chest that will be remembered most about his appearance in Orchard Park on Sunday.
‘Ellie said ”Dads boobs are showing!” read a text Jason shared on X, which presumably was sent by his wife, Kylie.
‘Buffalo is awesome, the energy is contagious,’ Jason wrote in the post. ‘Such an incredible experience!!’
