Kim Kardashian slammed as 'tone deaf' over luxury office complete with tanning bed

Kim Kardashian uploaded a tour of the headquarters of her beauty brand SKKN, as she jumped on the viral ‘of course’ trend and showcased the unusual things she keeps in her office

Kim Kardashian has been criticised by fans over her “tone deaf” luxury office tour video on social media.

The 43-year-old jumped on the viral ‘of course’ video trend on TikTok, and gave her fans a closer look at the luxury headquarters of her beauty and skincare brand SKKN. The huge office, located in Hollywood, boasts jaw-dropping details, including a huge 40,000sq-ft amphitheatre, a $78,000 (£62,000) red light therapy bed, and a custom model of Kim’s brain.

She captioned the video “I’m Kim Kardashian, of course… (SKKN Office Edition),” and took her TikTok and Instagram followers on a whistle-stop tour of her offices, which were custom-designed by Rick Owens. The mother-of-four wore a cosy white robe from her SKIMS collection as she showed off the huge space, and first up on her tour was her controversial red light therapy bed.

She gave fans a tour of her luxury offices

Wearing black goggles as she enjoyed a quick treatment, she told the camera: “I’m Kim Kardashian, of course I have a tanning bed. And a red light bed in my office!” Red light therapy is used to treat conditions such as psoriasis, and Kim previously shared her battle with the skin condition, which causes dry, scaly skin and can be painful. However, fans were concerned as the billionaire businesswoman referred to it as a “tanning bed”, which can dramatically increase the risk of skin cancer.

Her fans were also surprised by the tanning bed as Kim’s sister, Khloe Kardashian underwent an operation to remove a melanoma, which is a type of skin cancer, from her face in October 2022. She subsequently had cosmetic surgery to reduce the scarring on her cheek, and bravely shared snaps of the huge incision on her face after doctors cut out the cancer cells.

Elsewhere in the tour, Kim revealed she has her magazine covers all over her office walls, and then showed off her custom mannequin – complete with an exact replica of Kim’s famous rear end – in her office. “I’m Kim Kardashian, of course I have my mannequin with my custom measurements in my glam room,” she stated.

Kim then confessed she has her beauty campaigns “on a loop on a big TV wall” in her office space, and shocked fans as she revealed a custom 3D model of her brain perched on her desk. “I’m Kim Kardashian, of course I have 3D models of my brain and my plane in my office,” she smirked. In December, Kim was gifted the bizarre silver sculpture of her brain as a present from diagnostic imaging company Prenuvo, who she’s worked with in the past.

But her fans were left uncomfortable by the video which showcased Kim’s massive wealth, with one writing in the comments on TikTok: “Yea rub it in more while the rest of the world is struggling to live and afford food,” as another agreed: “I’m Kim Kardashian, people are starving and freezing to death but I don’t care.”
