Madonna shades Lady Gaga (AGAIN)… and apologizes for mistaking Toronto for Boston at concert

Madonna exerted her dominance over Lady Gaga, yet again, while simultaneously apologizing to the city of Toronto for mistakenly calling them ‘Boston’ during her concert last Friday at Scotiabank Arena.

‘Are you guys mad at me because I said “Hello, Boston?”‘ the 65-year-old Queen of Pop asked the crowd in a TikTok video.

‘I’m sorry. What kind of f***ed up s*** is that? That would be like if you guys were saying, “Hey, Lady Gaga‘s playing tonight!” I wouldn’t like that.’

Michigan-born Madge continued: ‘I mean, you know, nothing against Lady Gaga. Love her. I do! I love anyone shorter than me.’

The seven-time Grammy winner was previously believed to have ended her long-running feud with her 37-year-old pop rival during her 12th annual post-Oscars bash in Coldwater Canyon five years ago.

Madonna famously called Lady Gaga (born Stefani Germanotta) ‘reductive’ on 20/20 in 2012 for crafting the 2011 song Born This Way, which more than resembled her established 1989 hit Express Yourself.

The self-made superstar went on to perform a mash-up of the two tracks during her 88-date MDNA Tour, which was notably bookended by her 2008 song She’s Not Me.

The Oscar-winning songwriter has been spending time in the recording studio ahead of the October 4th release of Todd Phillips’ $150M-budget supervillain sequel Joker: Folie à Deux, in which she portrays Harley Quinn opposite Joaquin Phoenix.

Meanwhile, Madonna is next scheduled to bring her $77.4M-grossing, 79-date Celebration Tour to the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit on Monday night.

The two-time Golden Globe winner reportedly teamed up with creative director Lewis James and musical director Stuart Price to dream up her most spectacular stage presentation for her 12th concert tour honoring her four-decade career.

Rather than a band or singer, Madonna enlisted RuPaul’s Drag Race #8 champ Bob the Drag Queen to serve opening act duties for her.

Here’s hoping things go better this time as the Vulgar singer’s knee and hip injuries forced her to cancel 14 shows of her prior 75-date The Madame X Tour back in 2019-2020.

As the coronavirus pandemic put the final nail in her tour’s coffin, Madonna underwent knee surgery in April 2020 followed by hip surgery in November 2020 as well as ‘regenerative treatment for my missing cartilage.’

On January 22, the Material Girl will celebrate the 18th birthday of her daughter Chifundo ‘Mercy’ James Kambewa Ciccone.

Madonna plans to eventually embark on her self-directed Universal Pictures biopic – titled Little Sparrow – starring three-time Emmy winner Julia Garner.

The Evita alum co-wrote the script with Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody, who was later replaced by Independent Spirit Award-winning screenwriter Erin Wilson (The Girl on the Train, Secretary).
