Zendaya recently unveiled a new poster for her upcoming movie Challengers. Scheduled for release on April 26, 2024, the film directed by Call Me By Your Name fame Luca Guadagnino also features Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist.
The film will see Zendaya portraying Tashi Duncan, a tennis coach entangled in a love triangle drama. The official synopsis describes Tashi as an unapologetic force in both her game on the court and in her personal life. Married to a struggling champion, her strategic plans for her husband’s comeback take an unexpected turn when he faces off against Patrick, his former best friend and Tashi’s ex-boyfriend.
The collision of past and present leads to heightened tensions, prompting Tashi to contemplate the sacrifices required for victory. The internet was abuzz with excitement upon the release of the trailer. Mike Faist as her husband Art and Josh O’Connor plays Patrick, creating a gripping dynamic as the two compete in a tennis tournament.
The passionate love triangle teased in the trailer has sparked a lot of reactions among fans. The Challengers is written by Justin Kuritzkes and Guadagnino, Zendaya, Rachel O’Connor, and Amy Pascal produce the film.
