The Kardashian-Jenner family had a very memorable 2023, which was filled with babies, breakups and more bombshell moments.
The year started out with Us Weekly breaking the news that Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott called it quits after dating on and off for five years.
“Kylie and Travis are off again, they were supposed to spend the holidays together, but she went to Aspen to be with her family and friends up there,” a source shared with Us in January. “This has happened so many times before, they’re known to be on-again, off-again, but always remain friends and great coparents.”
Jenner, who shares daughter Stormi and son Aire with Scott, subsequently moved on with Timothée Chalamet. After taking her romance with Chalamet public, Jenner offered an update on her coparenting dynamic with Scott.
“It’s going … I think we’re doing the best job that we can do,” she told WSJ. Magazine in October.
Meanwhile, Kourtney Kardashian shocked her fans when she announced in June that she was expecting a baby with husband Travis Barker. (The Poosh founder also shares kids Mason, Penelope and Reign with ex Scott Disick. Barker, for his part, has two teenage kids, son Landon and daughter Alabama, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. He is also a father figure to Moakler’s daughter Atiana, whom she shares with Oscar De La Hoya.)
Three months after her pregnancy reveal, Kardashian opened up about how she was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery ahead of her fourth child’s arrival. Kardashian and Barker’s son, Rocky, was born in October.

Kylie Ends Her Relationship With Travis
Us confirmed in January that Kylie and Travis parted ways after spending time apart. As Kylie moved on with Timothée, a source told Us that the beauty mogul had no plans to rekindle her romance with Travis in the future.
“Even though Kylie and Travis have broken up and gotten back together a number of times, their friends feel like they’re finally done for good,” the insider noted in June. “It’s clear they’re both in a different space this time around and are happy to focus on coparenting their kids, rather than also trying to make things work romantically again. Kylie and Travis are handling things really well and they communicate amazingly.”

Kanye West Starts Dating Bianca Censori — and Celebrates Their Relationship With a Marriage Ceremony
Us confirmed in January that Kanye West‘s whirlwind romance with Bianca Censori evolved into the pair having a “small marriage ceremony” less than one month after his divorce from Kim Kardashian was finalized.
“Friends don’t know if it’s legal, but it’s very real to them,” an insider noted to Us in January. Later that year, a second source said Kanye and Bianca were “legally married” since 2022 but decided to exchange their vows “because of religious reasons.”

Kylie Reveals Her and Travis’ Son’s Name
Following much speculation, Kylie took to social media in January to share her son’s name and face, writing, “AIRE,” alongside several Instagram photos of her baby boy’s face. The announcement came after Kylie initially picked out the name Wolf for her second child before changing her mind.
“I just always wanted a name for him that had meaning. I like it and [Aire] is a Hebrew name [that means] lion of God,” Kylie explained in the season 3 finale of The Kardashians, which started streaming in July. “The advice I would give to you is find your name before your hormones start raging and you have the child.”
She added: “It was the hormones that took me out. I was too emotional. He is so special to me, there is not a name good enough for him. I didn’t realize the postpartum would be that hard. I have never called him Wolf, ever. Then the second [I made it legal], that night I cried in the shower. I was like, ‘That is not his name. What did I just do? Wolf? Someone just told me this 24 hours ago and I named my son Wolf.’ It wasn’t even on the list.”

Kendall Finds Love With Bad Bunny
After her split from Devin Booker, Kendall Jenner sparked romance rumors in February when she was spotted spending time with Bad Bunny. The pair have attempted to maintain a low-key romance while still supporting each other’s accomplishments, including Kendall attending a Saturday Night Live afterparty in October after Bad Bunny was a host and musical guest on the sketch show.
Kendall and Bad Bunny also collaborated on a Gucci campaign after stepping out together at Milan Fashion Week. Their relationship fizzled out by the end of the year with multiple outlets reporting in December 2023 that the duo called it quits.

Shanna Moakler Throws Shade at Kourtney and Travis Barker After Their Hulu Wedding Special
In April, Hulu aired a wedding special devoted to Kourtney and Travis’ special day in Portofino, Italy. Shanna took to her comments section days later to “like” a comment stating she deserved a “huge apology” from Kourtney and Travis.
After another fan questioned Kourtney calling herself “a mom of 6,” Shanna replied, “She post[s] more of my kids then [SIC] her own lol.”
That same month, a source told Us that Kourtney wasn’t focused on the negativity, adding, “Kourtney thinks it’s unfortunate that Shanna finds it hard to support the love she has for her kids. They’re Travis’ children too, and hers in a way now since she’s their stepmom. Kourtney fully believes in loving their kids just as much as her own.”

The New Man in Kylie’s Life
Three months after her split from Travis, Kylie sparked romance rumors with Timothée. The twosome kept their connection out of the spotlight until they attended Beyoncé’s birthday concert in Los Angeles in September.
Kylie and Timothée were seen packing on the PDA in the crowd before they jetted off to New York City where they attended an intimate dinner at New York Fashion Week and the men’s single finals at the US Open.
“Although they’re not official yet, they have a really strong bond and spend as much time together as possible,” a source told Us that same month. “Things are going really good and friends think they make an adorable couple.”

Kim and Pete Davidson Reunite at Met Gala After Split
The former couple were all smiles during a run-in inside the 2023 Met Gala. In photos from the event, Kim was seen chatting with Pete Davidson and Usher after walking the red carpet in a custom Schiaparelli dress covered in 50,000 real pearls.
Kim and Pete started dating shortly after meeting on the set of Saturday Night Live in October 2021. According to the pair, Pete initially tried to ask her out at the Met fundraiser one month earlier. The duo went public amid Kim’s divorce from Kanye but they ultimately split in August 2022 after less than one year together.

Khloe Stands by Her Decision Not to Reconcile With Tristan Thompson
Khloé Kardashian shut down fan theories that she was “soft launching” a reconciliation with Tristan Thompson through her sister Kim.
“Stop pushing this narrative. It’s tiring. But I suppose You guys will continue the narrative you want regardless of what I say so what’s the point,” Khloé wrote in May in the comments section of a fan post that claimed Kim attended Los Angeles Lakers games as a way to get viewers “prepared” for the former couple’s reunion. “It’s exhausting but I learned people will only understand to the level of their own perception. Most are stuck at believing the lies because it’s the narrative they want to fuel. Have fun…. Some things are just as simple as they seem. A family member supporting another family member ESPECIALLY during a difficult time in life.”
Khloé repeated several times on her Hulu reality series The Kardashians that she currently didn’t see herself getting back together with Tristan following his multiple cheating scandals.

Khloe Reveals Her and Tristan’s Son’s Name
Similar to sister Kylie, Khloé kept her second child’s name under lock and key until an episode of The Kardashians. During the season 3 premiere, which aired in May, Khloé confirmed that her baby boy’s moniker was Tatum.

Kylie and Jordyn Woods Stop Hiding Their Friendship From the Public
KUWTK viewers are familiar with how Kylie and Jordyn Woods’ friendship fell apart after the latter hooked up with Tristan while he was dating Khloé. After putting years of distance between herself and Jordyn, Kylie reunited with her former friend on multiple occasions earlier this summer.
Tristan also issued an apology over his role in Kylie and Jordyn’s rift during season 4 of The Kardashians. Kylie, however, has since hinted that her and Jordyn were never as on the outs as they appeared to be.
“We never fully cut each other off, and one day, naturally, we were like, ‘We want to get sushi and we don’t want to hide anymore,’” Kylie told Interview magazine in November. “There’s a learning lesson in everything, and I think that in a weird way, everything happens how it’s supposed to happen. We were so attached at the hip that we needed space to grow into the people that we were supposed to be. I needed that independence and that confidence because she was like my security blanket for so long.”

Kim vs. Kourtney on the Small Screen
Even though Kim and Kourtney’s feud technically began in 2022, it wasn’t until this year that Us got a glimpse at the drama. The issues started when Kourtney revealed she was upset with Kim for planning a partnership with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana that seemed to take inspiration from her May 2022 wedding to Travis.
Kim denied Kourtney’s assumptions about how the business opportunity came during season 3 of The Kardashians. It didn’t take long for things to take a turn with Kourtney accusing Kim in a July episode of not being happy for her while Kim fired back that Kourtney stole wedding ideas from her such as having Andrea Bocelli as a performer.
The situation died down until the sisters rewatched each other’s confessionals on screen. As a result, season 4 kicked off in September with a tense phone call where Kim mentioned how Kourtney’s loved ones, including her kids, talk about her without her knowledge. Despite the emotional argument, Kim revealed that she and Kourtney were able to move on from the drama.

Kim’s NSFW Acting Role on ‘American Horror Story’
American Horror Story fans were surprised when cocreator Ryan Murphy announced Kim’s leading role on season 12 of American Horror Story. Kim, who plays a publicist to Emma Roberts’ character, addressed concerns about her acting experience by dedicating herself to the craft.
“I am, of course [taking classes],” she told Variety in April. “You know, it’s a challenge [but] I like to challenge myself. We start shooting my stuff later this month but production [has] already started and I’m so excited. I can’t [say too much] but I’m excited. I think it’s really fun to step outside your comfort zone and try something new and grow. I’m so excited for the experience.”
The newest episode of AHS premiered on FX five months later and all anyone could talk about was Kim’s iconic dialogue.
Some of her more memorable lines included, “Do you know how hard my staff has worked for you? How many blowjobs were collectively given for you to even be considered? Derek’s jaw will probably never recover.” Kim’s first line on the show was also one for the history books, with her saying, “Then tell the Daniels to suck my c—t. She’s not missing a press day for a f—king commercial shoot.”
In addition to appearing in the second half of the season — which is currently being filmed — Kim is set to star and executive produce a new Hulu legal drama created by the AHS executive producer.

Kourtney and Travis Welcome Their 1st Baby
In June, Kourtney announced her pregnancy by holding up a handwritten sign at a Blink-182 concert that read, “Travis, I’m pregnant.” She was later rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery before her child’s arrival.
“I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock,” she wrote via Instagram. “And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this. As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery.”
Kourtney continued: “I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant. Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing.”
Kourtney and Travis’ son was born in November and they shared photos of their son one month later. “They have a beautiful baby boy,” a source exclusively shared with Us at the time. “They are both elated.”
