Drake enjoyed a light exchange with a pair of fans courtside Wednesday at the Oklahoma City Thunder’s game against the Houston Rockets at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma.

The 35-year-old rapper’s exchange with the couple was featured on camera for the jumbotron, as Drake was seen flashing a peace sign while the crowd could be heard erupting in applause.

He took to Instagram with a selfie with the couple with the caption, ‘My new parents.’

The Toronto native and the fan shared a word – the fan asked Drake if he was famous, according to ET – which led to Drake laughing and patting the man on the arm and chest.

The team’s mascot Rumble also was seen approaching the rap star and shaking his hand.

The superstar rapper donned a maroon fur coat over an off-white hooded sweatshirt with black pants and white Nike sneakers, accessorizing with earrings and multiple rings.

Drake was also seen chatting with NBA referee Mitchell Ervin and Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander at the sporting event.

Drake on Thursday was named Billboard’s Top Artist of the Year for 2021, the second time he has achieved the honor, as he was previously crowned with in 2018.

The title came as a result of both the success of his hit album Certified Lover Boy, which debuted in the top spot in September, as well as the hit singles it has spawned, including Way 2 Sexy, Girls Want Girls and Knife Talk.

His overall catalog continued to sell well over the year, with eight albums landing on the Billboard 200 in the timeframe from November 2020 thru November 2021.
