Travis Kelce Is Reportedly Planning an ‘Intimate’ and ‘Romantic’ Birthday Celebration for Taylor Swift

Anyone who’s listened to “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” knows Taylor Swift deserves a partner that will show up for her birthday—and it looks like Travis Kelce is just the man for the job. In fact, according to a source who spoke to Life & Style, the 34-year-old NFL player is taking on party-planning duties.

“He’s arranged a very intimate, romantic dinner just for the two of them, and is also trying to pull off a semi-surprise party with the help of some of her closest friends,” the source said of Kelce’s plans for Swift’s birthday, which falls on December 13. I mean, it feels counterintuitive to allow this to be leaked to the press, but the source did say it was a “semi” surprise.

If this is true, Swift is still not leaving her own 34th birthday in the hands of a guy she’s been dating only since late September. In her recent Person of the Year interview with Time magazine, the pop star revealed that she and Kelce have actually been seeing each other for closer to five months, starting pretty soon after he attended an Eras Tour performance in July. During a New Heights podcast episode that aired on July 26, the Kansas City Chiefs player revealed that he tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it but was unsuccessful.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift told Time. “We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard-launch a first date.”

Swift has attended multiple Chiefs games since late September, with Kelce returning the favor at an Eras Tour concert in Brazil during a bye week in November. “When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves; we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Swift told Time. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
