After being shot in the line of duty, Jill worked hard to convince Chance to leave the force and come work at Chancellor-Winters where she’d show him the ropes. He decided it was time for a change, letting Sharon know of his decision to leave the force. Meanwhile, Billy found himself once again at odds with his brother Jack over what else, Jabot and the return of Kyle to the company, whom Billy didn’t trust one bit. He was sure Tucker had gotten to him in some way. Coming up, Jill asks Billy, “Would you be willing to walk away from Jabot and come work with me at Chancellor-Winters?” Will Billy take her up on her offer?
Last week the showdowns of showdowns occurred at the Lake House, where Nikki remained drugged with alcohol and Claire and Jordan lured Cole and the Newmans into their trap. Both Victoria and Cole refused to believe Claire when she claimed she was their supposedly dead daughter Eve, and Jordan was not only her aunt but was also Eve Howard’s sister!
Jordan and Claire poisoned the Newmans as part of Jordan’s plot for revenge, but it all fell apart when Jordan claimed she had switched babies at the hospital and stole Eve, while they buried someone else’s child. Claire had been raised to believe she was thrown away, unwanted, and turned against her Aunt and provided the Newmans with the antidote. However as Claire was finally arrested, Jordan managed to hide within the walls of the house and escape capture!
Next week, Cole tells Victor, “I don’t believe that this was a con on Claire’s part. She’s convinced we’re her parents.” Victoria addresses Cole, “It’s just… it’s not possible. Is it?” Was Jordan telling the truth? Is Claire the daughter then mourned and knew as Eve? A simple DNA test should prove it one way or another!
Meanwhile, it seems Jordan’s scheme did achieve one effect. Nikki’s hands shake as she pours a shot of vodka and contemplates drinking it.
Will Nikki be able to stay sober? And when will Jordan strike again?
