In a bizarre twist of fate, a fraternity member at Penn State found himself embroiled in a cocaine trafficking ššššš¹š¶š after making a glaring mistake: he allegedly accepted Venmo payments for drugs using his real name. This slip-up led authorities straight to him, revealing a web of illicit activities right from the Delta Upsilon Fraternity House.
According to court documents obtained by NBC News, a confidential informant tipped off law enforcement about a male known as “T-Rob,” who was reportedly dealing significant quantities of cocaine. The informant revealed that payments were being funneled through a Venmo account linked to the name āTom-Robinson,ā which ultimately directed investigators to 23-year-old Thomas Robinson at the fraternity’s address in State College, Pennsylvania.
In December 2024, when authorities executed a search warrant at the fraternity house, Robinson allegedly mistook the officers for his fraternity brothers playing a prank. The situation escalated, and he was reportedly subdued with a Taser before being taken into custody. A search of his dorm room yielded over 8 grams of cocaine, nearly 8 ounces of marijuana, and more than 200 pills of amphetamines, according to the complaint.

In addition to the drugs, a Kimber .45-caliber handgun was discovered in a safe above his mini-fridge. Robinson now faces multiple charges related to š¹ššš manufacturing, delivery, and possession, among others, stemming from incidents that occurred from September to December 2024.
Following his arrest, Robinson reportedly provided information about his alleged supplier, Agostino Abbatiello, a fellow student and member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. The two were said to have connected through a fraternity brother who was already involved in š¹ššš dealing. This brother allegedly encouraged Robinson to join him in the cocaine business in July 2023 but later decided to exit the operation in December 2023.
Court documents indicate that Robinson made several substantial cocaine purchases from Abbatiello, with transactions reportedly reaching as high as $22,000. As of now, it remains unclear whether Robinson has entered a plea, but he is expected to appear in court next month for a pretrial hearing regarding the charges.
In light of these serious allegations, Penn State has placed Delta Upsilon on interim suspension while the investigation unfolds. University officials expressed their dismay at the situation, emphasizing their commitment to student safety and well-being.
As this story continues to develop, many are left wondering how deeply this ššššš¹š¶š runs and what it means for the future of the fraternities involved.
