Three years after a devastating wedding day crash, newly released police video captures the surreal and oddly casual conversation a New Jersey woman had with officers just moments after her arrest.
Jamie Lee Komoroski, now 27, can be seen chatting with police at the Folly Beach Police Department in South Carolina, her hands cuffed behind her back and her sports bra visible, according to footage obtained by local media.
“I don’t know about you guys but my allergies have been so bad. This pollen has been killing me,” she reportedly said around midnight on April 28, 2023.
She then asked officers about their favorite cereal, later launching into a rambling discussion about her family heritage, a new kitten named Theo, and her go-to fast food spots.
“F–k yes, oh my God, hell yeah, White Castle is such a vibe. McDonald’s is my live or die, forever and forever,” she allegedly sang, before praising Big Macs, chicken nuggets, and fries.
Komoroski also shared her ice cream preferences, calling herself a “soft serve girlie” and debating the merits of mint chocolate chip.
The conversation came just hours after she allegedly drove into a golf cart carrying newlyweds Samantha and Aric Hutchinson, killing the bride and severely injuring the groom and two guests.
Court documents claim Komoroski’s blood alcohol level was more than three times the legal limit at the time of the crash.
She reportedly spent nearly a year in jail before pleading guilty to felony DUI and reckless homicide, receiving a 25-year prison sentence in December 2024.
The video shows her mood shifting from belligerent to friendly, even asking one officer about his ethnicity and telling a story about bats in her backyard.
At one point, she reportedly asked bystanders to check on the bride, saying, “Is she OK? Go check on her!”
But as the night wore on, she broke down sobbing, complaining about wanting to go home and worrying about her boyfriend.
