A FASHION influencer has been robbed of 150 designer bags while on a luxury holiday in the Maldives.
Susie Bubble returned home to find her entire handbag collection missing.
In a video on Instagram she said: “All my handbags are gone.
“150 bags or so… which sounds like a crazy amount of bags obviously but accumulated over a pretty long period of time.
“The best part of 20 years which is how long I’ve been working in fashion.
“A lot of them were gifts. Some of them were presents from people I knew. Some of them were presents to myself.
“I went from being the bag lady. They cleared me out…”
The influencer said she has not been able to feel comfortable in her home since the break-in.
“I haven’t wanted to go out either because I am scared,” she added.
“I think losing so much of that stuff all in one go has left me really shaken.”
However, the influencer admitted things definitely could have been worse.
“I realise this is the epitome of a first world problem,” she said.
“Nobody should have that many handbags. Nobody needs that many handbags.”
Susie Bubble – whose real name is Susanna Lau – is one of fashion’s original digital trailblazers, known for her personal style and industry insight.
The London-based writer rose to prominence through her blog before becoming a respected voice in luxury fashion.
This is not the first time an influencer has been robbed after flaunting their possessions on social media
In 2016, Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint during a robbery at her luxury apartment in Paris.
A gang stole jewellery worth an estimated $10million, including a diamond engagement ring, in one of the biggest celebrity heists in recent history.
The traumatic ordeal prompted Kardashian to overhaul her personal security and rethink how much of her location and valuables she shared online.
High-profile footballers have also been increasingly targeted by organised gangs, with thieves striking while players are away at matches.
Jack Grealish‘s Chesire mansion was burgled in December 2023 while he was playing for Manchester City.
Family members were inside the property when thieves reportedly stole jewellery and watches worth around £1 million.
