Anthony Davis Made NBA History In Lakers-Pacers Game

Anthony Davis moved up on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

On Friday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers are playing the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis.

Anthony Davis returned to the lineup after a one-game absence and had 12 points, seven rebounds and one assist while shooting 5/10 from the field in his first 17 minutes of playing time.

The All-Star forward also made NBA history by moving ahead of Hall of Famer Jason Kidd (17,529) for 91st on the all-time scoring list.

Following Kidd, the next player for Davis to pass will be Otis Thorpe (17,599).

Davis is in the middle of another excellent season, and is averaging 24.7 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.4 blocks per contest while shooting 55.3% from the field and 28.9% from the three-point range in 68 games.

The Lakers are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 41-32 record in 73 games.

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a five-game winning streak.

Following their matchup with the Pacers, the Lakers will play their next game on Sunday evening when they visit the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.

Davis was the first pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Kentucky and is in his 12th season in the league (his fifth playing for Los Angeles).

The 2020 NBA Champion has career averages of 24.1 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.3 bocks per contest while shooting 52.2% from the field and 29.9% from the three-point range in 728 games.
