While driving his taxi, Emmanuel discovered the substantial amount of money on the roadside and, despite the temptation, chose to take it home for safekeeping. Fearing the responsibility of handling such a significant sum, he handed it over to his aunt until the rightful owner could be identified.

Emmanuel’s noble act did not go unnoticed. After hearing a radio broadcast where someone reported losing the exact amount, he promptly contacted the radio station, facilitated the return of the money to its owner, and restored their hope.

Emmanuel’s story reached the President of Livingstone College in North Carolina, Jimmy Jinkens, who was deeply moved by his honesty. The college, committed to supporting Liberian students, offered Emmanuel a full scholarship to pursue his education at their institution.

In addition to the scholarship, Emmanuel received $1,500 from the original owner, an Order of Distinction from Liberian President George Weah, and a $10,000 reward along with two motorbikes. Expressing his desire to further his education, Emmanuel hopes his story becomes an inspiration for others to prioritize integrity and education over alternative paths.
