Jared Padalecki just confirmed that he wants to join The Boys… and also revealed while sitting next to Jensen Ackles that he seemingly knows Season 5 is indeed happening.
Supernatural star Jared Padalecki has finally confirmed that he’s “hoping” to join the increasingly popular Eric Kripke run hit series The Boys for season 5.
The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke is also famously known for bringing Supernatural into the world, a show that featured Padalecki as the iconic Sam Winchester as well as various other stars who are now in The Boys – such as Jensen Ackles, Jim Beaver, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and Rob Benedict, among others.

Despite The Boys being one of the most popular streaming shows in the world, Padalecki has yet to make an appearance – however, he says he hopes to join season 5 depending “on when the filming starts”.

During Ackles and Padalecki’s latest Supernatural convention, the Walker star confirmed that he wants to play a character in season 5 of The Boys – however, the grin on his face may imply that he already knows it’s happening.
When answering a question about what he’d like to work on if he could decide, Padalecki heavily hinted that he will finally be joining the Homelander and Soldier Boy franchise.
“I’m hoping, it depends on when the filming starts, but I’m hoping to have a week or two to leave town and play Soldier Man,” Padalecki teased while slowly looking to his left at Ackles who plays Soldier Boy in the hit series.

“Soldier Man” is not a character from The Boys and was just Padalecki’s way of teasing his co-star that he wants to presumably play an even tougher character.
Regardless of his teasing, the Supernatural star heavily implied he aims to join his ex-Supernatural team for the 5th season as he stated “It depends on when the filming starts,” implying the filming of the next season of the show – as season 4 has completed filming.

One character from The Boys that would be perfect for Padalecki to play, is Vikar – the franchise’s parody version of Marvel’s Thor Odinson.
Not only would this be an incredibly tasteful throwback to the time Sam Winchester quite literally held Thor’s trusty hammer Mjollnir in an episode of Supernatural – but would just play well to the star’s height, build, hair, voice, and ability to be badass on screen.
We’ll avoid spoilers in this article as to what happens to Vikar in the original comics, just on the off chance that it may very well end up being Padalecki’s potential arc in The Boys.
