In an inspiring tale of resilience, Khadijah Ceesay, a young and brilliant woman from The Gambia, has triumphed over challenges to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Howard University, Washington DC, United States. Notably, she achieved this milestone while caring for her newborn son.

During her time at Howard University, Khadijah not only excelled academically but also served as the President of the Howard University Muslim Student’s Association. Her commitment extended to professional experiences, including an internship at Amazon as a Transport Engineering intern. Additionally, she worked as an M-Fellow at the United States NOAA (National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration) and, in June 2022, joined Tooles Design in Maryland as an Engineering Intern.
