She took to LinkedIn to celebrate her achievement of graduating with a perfect grade point.  ”I graduated from Covenant University as the best-graduating student in the university with a BSc. in Computer Science and a CGPA of 5.0/5.0,” she said.

Asaka’s exceptional performance earned her the award of the overall best-graduating student in her set. She mentioned that it was great serving in different capacities while at the university adding that she was able to grow with different communities.

Encouraging her fellow graduates, Asaka said their achievement is a notable one and they should not let anybody take it away from them. She added that with the strength and resilience, they displayed over the years, she is sure of them being trendsetters, pathfinders, and trailblazers.

Asaka was awarded the Rhodes Trust Scholarship to study for her master’s at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. She is one of three West Africans who were awarded the scholarship for the 2024 cohort.

She expressed her gratitude to her family, friends, mentors, lecturers, colleagues, and coursemates for their support and encouragement. She said that she She stated that she cannot wait for what the future holds.

Asaka told Rhodes Trust that she aspires to advance the world’s understanding of technology’s impact on marginalized segments of society.
